Rotation #664
Minnesota -18.5 over Green Bay
Green Bay enters this season with just two players with significant playing time. Armani Davis and PJ Pipes are decent guards, but 10 of the 16 players on this roster are freshman. This is a team that is very small and very light. The Phoenix have a style of play that will be OK for the Horizon Conference, but not tonight against a physical BIG 10 school. Will Ryan is coaching in his very first game at the D1 level. Minnesota has a lot of turnover from last year as well, but they have the size advantage and should dominate the glass tonight. This is a classic example of men playing against boys. Size means a lot in basketball, especially when that advantage is one for the more recognized team at the larger program. Look for Gabe Kalschuer and Marcus Carr to handle the ball well tonight and for the forwards to dominate in the paint. Brandon Johnson is a great transfer from Western Michigan who can do it all. The Golden Gophers should get a lot of easy buckets in this one. Take Minnesota.

Rotation #670
Alabama -20 over Jacksonville State
Ron Harper is a solid coach that had a lot of turnover the last few years. This Gamecocks team took a step back last year and should again this year. The only returning players are big men so I really question how they are going to handle to ball tonight against a scrappy Alabama team. If you don’t have good guard play it’s next to impossible to beat a bigger program, but having no solid experienced guards makes it hard just to get the ball across mid court. Kayne Henry is the only player that returns with significant minutes for Jacksonville State and he isn’t really a guy that can handle the ball well. Alabama did lose Kira Lewis to the NBA draft but the main players return to this team coached by Nate Oats in his second year with the Tide. This Alabama team has a ton of great assist artist like John Petty and Herb Jones. Jordan Bruner and Jahvon Quinerly are great transfer additions to this program that now has a real veteran feel to it. The tempo Nate Oats will have his players create will be overwhelming to this Gamecocks team and they simply won’t keep up at the tempo the Crimson Tide establish. Take Alabama.
UCLA -3
UCLA @ SDGST | 11/25 | 10:30 PM EST10:23 AM
Mick Cronin's UCLA team returns its top five scorers and is favored to win the Pac-12, while San Diego State will regress a bit without Malachi Flynn. UCLA started 10-10 last season, then finished strong, and I think this program will make an early statement. Lay the points.
DRAKE +5.5
DRAKE @ KSTATE | 11/25 | 2:00 PM EST9:16 AM
Coming off an 11-win season, the Wildcats are rebuilding with nine new scholarship players. Grab the points with a feisty Drake team that won 20 games last season.
TXSA +15
TXSA @ OKLA | 11/25 | 8:00 PM ESTYESTERDAY 12:02 PM
The Roadrunners return an elite senior backcourt of Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace. Combined, they averaged more than 46 points per game last season. Oklahoma returns two double-digit scorers, but it will take time for the Sooners to adjust to playing without Kristian Doolittle, their leading scorer and rebounder from last season. Grab the points
NIOWA +125
WKY VS NIOWA | 11/25 | 4:30 PM EST9:26 AM
What a great matchup of two NCAA teams in my eyes. Northern Iowa’s discipline will be key in this one. The Panthers take good shots, and they don’t turn it over. This will be WKU big man Charles Bassey’s first game back after breaking his leg last year. Back Northern Iowa for the outright upset.
TOLEDO +145
TOLEDO VS BRAD | 11/25 | 3:00 PM EST9:22 AM
Bradley is coming off back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference championships but the Braves lost their senior backcourt to graduation. Replacing that early on will be impossible at the mid-major level. Take advantage of this right away with Toledo.
SDGST +130
UCLA @ SDGST | 11/25 | 10:30 PM EST9:21 AM
No more Malachi Flynn for the Aztecs, but learn the name Terrell Gomez. The transfer from Cal State Northridge can really shoot from deep. You know San Diego State is going to play with a chip on its shoulder vs. a blueblood like UCLA.
WISC -19.5
EILL @ WISC | 11/25 | 10:00 PM EST9:19 AM
This was a 13 point game last year between these two teams on opening night. The difference is this year Wisconsin starts, that's right, five seniors. In Greg Gard's sixth year, the Badgers are primed for a Final Four run. Lay all these points!

5 Unit Play. Take #633 Ball State -2 over Northern Kentucky (6:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Nov. 25)
Northern Kentucky is the defending Horizon League champions and they are well-coached by Darrin Horn, from Western Kentucky and South Carolina, but this year he'll earn his pay. With only one starter back, Horn has to start by piecing it together. He Norse still have talent, it just might take a bit to come together. If you are searching for the best guard trio in the MAC, look no further than Ball State. The Cardinals shared the MAC title a year ago and their defense was top notch and if they get some help in the frontcourt as the season progress, they could win their conference outright. Two of my power ratings have Ball State by 5 or 5.5 and that works.
3 Unit Play. Take #684 Pepperdine -3 over UC-Irvine (6:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Nov. 25)
Pepperdine returns a veteran cast including two of the best players in the West Coast Conference in G Colbey Ross and F Kessler Edwards. Ross is an efficient leader in scoring and handing out assists and Edwards is a versatile scorer. The Waves also have back Sedrick Altman, who was an All-WCC freshman last season. UC Irvine is the defending Big West regular-season champ last year but its veteran cast has graduated and the Anteaters will be among the youngest teams in the country. With the total at 143.5 and UC-Irvine 1-11 ATS in a neutral court game where the total is 140 to 149.5, backing the more veteran club.
