The Cowboys have gotten a bit healthier and it's starting to show on the field and on the scoreboard. Dallas took the undefeated Steelers to the wire, then came off its bye and upset the Vikings in Minnesota this past Sunday. The improved play coincides with the return of offensive linemen Zack Martin and Joe Looney. Martin, a multiple-time Pro-Bowler at right guard, was moved to right tackle against the Vikings. QB Andy Dalton looked much better with Looney and Martin back, as did RB Ezekiel Elliott. The Dallas defense has also shown improvement with Sean Lee and Randy Gregory back, and the progression of rookie defensive tackle Neville Gallimore.
Washington beat Dallas 25-3 in DC a few weeks ago. The Cowboys didn't have Looney or Martin on the o-line, Dalton got knocked out of the game, and he was replaced by rookie seventh-round QB Ben DiNucci out of James Madison. As a result, the Cowboys offense never got going, held to a FG and 142 total yards. This game will play out much differently. The Cowboys have strong revenge motivation after getting embarrassed by Washington a few weeks ago, and they have renewed confidence after hanging with the Steelers and upsetting the Vikings.
Mike McCarthy is making his Thanksgiving debut as Dallas head coach, but he's no stranger to Turkey Day games. As Packers head coach, McCarthy's crew visited Detroit three times on Thanksgiving, going 3-0 SU and ATS. And if you're worried about a Cowboys letdown following Sunday's upset win, don't be. In his head-coaching career, McCarthy's team is a perfect 5-0 SU and ATS as a home favorite when coming off an upset road win. So, McCarthy clearly knows how to get his team ready for Thanksgiving games and how to keep his team motivated in home games off an upset road win.
PLAY DALLAS.
5% play at -3 or lower. 4% play at -3.5 to -4.5. 3% play at -5. No play at worse than -5.
Be very careful here. The Belmont/Howard cap is a fing joke. Bucky McMillan and the score references are SAMFORD. That’s where Bucky actually coaches, not Belmont.
Good job warning people you cost someone money, keep opinions to self we’re here for their plays not yours. I made money but hate you cost someone else
