Here we are a year later in this COVID-19 related mess of a season, but the formula tonight will be strikingly similar for the Air Force as they bring in the nation's leading rushing team with their triple option offense that churns for 336.5 yards per game this year.

With the Falcons playing keep away with the football I seriously doubt this game lands Over the total.

Air Force has played 4 games this year and 3 of the 4 have held Under. Dating back to last year the Falcons have held Under in 8 of their last 10 games played.

Utah State has played Unders in 2 of their last 3 games this year and their offense - prior to "erupting" for 41 points against a soft New Mexico team last week - had scored a grand total of just 45 points in their previous 4 games this year.

Since I do not expect the Aggies to contribute much more than 10 points total in this game, I will play this Mountain West meeting Under the posted price for Thursday night.

Montana lost 76-62 after trailing by 19 at halftime in L.A., with San Jose State transfer Matt Steadman struggling in his first turn as the team’s go-to guy. The Thunderbirds should have the edge in the backcourt with ex-Utah State transfer John Knight III setting the table as one of the Big Sky’s top playmakers. He’s joined by Dre Marin, a three-year starter, in addition to Illinois transfer Tevian Jones, who is averaging a team-best 19.5 points. Since it benefits from debuting in familiar surroundings, don’t be surprised to see Southern Utah (+1) pull the outright upset.

Furthermore, Jaylen Warren has left through the transfer portal wormhole despite 821 yards and eight TDs in 15 games with Utah State. Toss in linebacker Maika Magalei to the group that is jumping the Aggie ship. And Magalei's departure comes on the heels of a trio of defensive starters — senior linebacker Cash Gilliam, senior safety Troy Lefeged Jr. and junior receiver Deven Thompkins being sucked up by the new wormhole available via the NCAA.

The NC State Wolfpack have averaged 22 wins in Kevin Keatts’ first three seasons in Raleigh. And this may be his best team yet with three returning starters including senior D.J. Funderburk, who nearly entered the NBA Draft. Also back is senior Devon Daniels, who averaged 13 PPG last year.
The Wolfpack are off to a great start with a 95-61 win over Charleston Southern as 19-point favorites and an 86-51 win over North Florida as 21-point favorites. Daniels is averaging 18.0 PPG with Funderburk at 10.5 PPG in the two wins. The Wolfpack are plus-32 in turnover margin as well.
UMass-Lowell is off to a 1-2 start this season with an upset win over San Francisco, but double-digit losses to Illinois State and Ohio State. And I think the fact that they covered with ease as a 27.5-point dog against Ohio State has them overvalued here as only a 17.5-point dog to NC State tonight.
UMass-Lowell is 2-13 ATS after covering two of their last three games ATS over the last three seasons. The Wolfpack are 8-1 ATS in road games after scoring 80 points or more over the last three seasons. Bet NC State Thursday.
