Iowa State has been at home while South Dakota State played three games in three days last week at a neutral site in South Dakota. The Cyclones are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite.

4 Unit Play. Take #702 Nevada -3 over USF (9p.m., Wednesday, December 2 themwc.com) This is a home and home with these two teams playing in Reno on Wednesday and San Francisco on Sunday. Expect Nevada to pull away in the second half tonight and earn their fourth victory of the season. USF beat Virginia but they lost by 13 points the next day to Rhode Island. The Dons are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games following a straight-up loss. The Wolf Pack is 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games as a home favorite.

4 Unit Play. Take #705 Texas Arlington +14 over Arkansas (9p.m., Wednesday, December 2 SECN) The Razorbacks are playing a super easy schedule yet again this year and this may be the toughest team they face to date. The Mavericks took Oklahoma State and Louisiana Tech to the wire and I see them keeping this game around 10 points. Arkansas will try and run up the score if they can, I just do not see it happening tonight. Texas Arlington is 15-5 ATS (1 push) in their last 21 games as an underdog.

That Davidson team is 1-2 but our metrics point to Davidson being a fantastic team who just lost to Texas by a bucket and Providence by about a bucket. That win that Providence has over Davidson is impressive and Providence laid an egg against Indiana earlier this year just 2 games ago. Now, they get to face another Power 5 team and they will up for it. Alabama is a team I love as a fan - but they struggled against UNLV taking 40 three pointers and making just 15 - that's not great. Providence is extremely well coached and have and are led by 6 upperclassmen. I think this is a dangerous game for Alabama and we think that Providence has a great shot at winning Outright.

6-Unit Play: Take 712 Baylor -4.5 over Illinois (10 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2)

Illinois is a good basketball team that has not yet been tested. Baylor is a great team with a Final Four or bust mentality. All but one starter returns from a 26-4 campaign for the Bears. The Illini have a quality guard -- Baylor has three quality guards. Illinois is decent but can be had on the glass by strong interior teams -- Baylor fits the bill. The Bears will also attempt to extend their neutral court run to 7-0 ATS! And if that's not enough, HC Scott Drew returns to the team today after missing the first two games while being quarantined. Baylor has Gonzaga on Saturday but I'm betting Drew's return to the bench will help keep the Bears focused on the task at-hand. I'm laying the points with Baylor on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! I really don't want to bet this game at -10 and recommend buying down to Steelers -9.5 if you can, but I think this spread may rise a half-point by kickoff with the Wednesday morning surprising news that Baltimore's top two running backs, JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram, in fact will NOT return from the COVID-19 list as expected. That Baltimore offense is also down Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews, Willie Snead IV and a few linemen. I'm simply not sure the Ravens can even get to 14 points with RGIII under center, while Pittsburgh should at least manage 27 points vs. a short-handed Baltimore defense.

The Ravens are desperate. They are 6-4 and in third place in the division. If they lose, they will fall hopelessly behind. What this means is that they can’t afford to be passive; they must try to capitalize on every scoring opportunity, and this means taking risks. This leads to high-scoring games. Indeed, the Over is 9-0 when Baltimore under is on grass against a team that has more wins, is on a three-plus game winning streak and has allowed 24 points per game or fewer over their last three games. Baltimore has scored 32.8 points per game in these nine games. We are on the Over.

4 Unit Play. Take #682 Iowa State -1.5 over South Dakota State (7:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Dec. 2)

This is an interesting matchup on many levels. South Dakota State led #11 West Virginia most of the way when the Mountaineers rallied in the last six minutes to win by 8. The Jackrabbits got the money however at +11.5. S.D State was one of the top three-point shooting defenses last year and figure to be quite good again this season and that is why they have slipped from +3 to +1.5 in this encounter. Iowa State's deep shooting tends to run hot and cold as we saw in their opener against Arkansas Pine Bluff. However, the Cyclones have better athletes and as long as they don't settle for threes, they will score. Also, ISU is 8-1 ATS in home games versus teams who make eight or more 3-point shots a game and the situation suits the 'Clones who are sensational 31-4 ATS as a home favorite of three points or less.

3 Unit Play. Take #706 Arkansas -14 over UT-Arlington (9:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Dec. 2)

UT-Arlington has done a great job as an underdog at 69-38 ATS over the years, but that is mostly against conference competition. The Mavericks are a smallish team and Arkansas has superior length and height. The Razorbacks are balanced offensively and like all coach Eric Musselman team's, he demands ball movement that leads to open shots and dribble penetration that adds up to trips to the free throw line. Musselman is quoted as saying his team is not strong at the rim for offensive rebounding, missing too many easy shots. Look for that to be an emphasis with the Hogs moving to 10-2 ATS in home games non-conference games.

3 Unit Play. Take #711 Illinois +5.5 over Baylor (10:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Dec. 2)

This should be fun, a battle of two Top 5 squads. The only team considered closest to Gonzaga to start the season is Baylor who brought back four excellent starters from last season. (Those teams will meet Saturday) Illinois and Baylor both feature preseason All-American guards in their lineup in Ayo Dosunmu and Jared Butler. Each has quality players that can play in the paint and in the backcourt, with the Fighting Illini having more offense with the Bears utilizing shutdown guards. Baylor has more seasoning as a top-level team and probably deserves to be this large a favorite. At the same time, I think the oddsmakers know this and priced this matchup accordingly. The talent differential is three-points at most and Baylor is 7-22 ATS after a cover as a double-digit favorite. A three-point outcome either way.

Off to a 7-3 start in college basketball ($1,090) after last night's 5-U winner on Toledo. Consider a month's package as I'll continue to be highly selective to provide you the best value.

The host are riding a five match winning streak coming off a 1-0 win at Huesca over the weekend. They last lost at Athletic Club Bilbao at the end of October. They are also on a four match home win streak since losing to Eibar. This could be this side's first four win Group Stage performance if they can pick up this week, but we expect their recent success and the weight of a win to play against this side. Sevilla last lost in the Champions League in April 2018, losing 2-1 to Bayern Munich at home. For Chelsea, their six match winning streak was ended by a scoreless home draw to Tottenham. They are also looking for a fourth straight win in the Champions League and have been dominate since their draw with Sevilla, beating Krasnodar on the road 4-0 and Rennes at home 3-0. They pulled out a late win in France over Rennes last week. Away from home Chelsea have won four in a row, outscoring their opponents 11-1. Chelsea are the more talented team and have the likes of Christian Pulisic back from injury. We fully expect Chelsea to come out attacking as they look to take control of this group.
