This will be West Virginia's first game in three weeks. The Mountaineers defense has been stout all season in allowing just 17.8 PPG. Iowa State sits atop the Big 12 standings and can see and almost touch their first conference football title in 108 years. Though the Cyclones allow 23 PPG, they have also faced a tougher schedule than West Virginia and have held opponents to 7.7 PPG below their average compared to the 'Teers at a comparable 8.3 PPG.
