This is the only group where nothing is locked up and should be an awesome final Matchday. For Inter, their scenario is they need to win and hope that Real Madrid and Gladbach don't end in a draw, if there is a winner either way, Inter will pass Real Madrid in point or advance over Gladbach on H2H tiebreaker.

Inter absolutely dominated the reverse fixture but settled for a 0-0 draw in Ukraine. They generated 1.98 xG compared to just 0.10 for Shakhtar. These teams also met not too long before that in the restart of the Europa League last season in August in which Inter Milan won 5-0 on a neutral field. While I'm not expecting that scoreline again, a convincing 3-0 or 3-1 win seems very likely and a Inter Milan backdoor entry into the group stage is very possible. I'll also be taking that prop bet, Inter Milan to qualify or Finish Top 2 depending how your book lists it for currently -135 at DraftKings.

Shakhtar is an odd team. They have beaten Real Madrid twice, but been absolutely embarrassed by a 0-10 combined scoreline in two games against Gladbach. As we have seen Inter lay the smack down on Shakhtar already not too long ago, I think the latter is more likely.

Take Pepperdine ATS as my top college basketball pick for Wednesday night. This pick falls into one my top college basketball systems and I expect a 10+ point victory by Pepperdine here tonight as they are the superior team. Pepperdine has averaged 84.5 points per game this season while shooting 46.2% as a team and they have held opponents to shooting just 37.8% against them. California has averaged just 65.4 points per game this season while shooting 43.2% as a team and Pepperdine's opponents have shot just 24.4% against them from beyond the arc this season. California has struggled with turnovers this season averaging 16 per game and I expect Pepperdine to dominate the boards here tonight. California just lost to UCLA by 20 points and that is the same UCLA team that Pepperdine loss to by just 9 points holding them to shooting just 43.9% against them meanwhile UCLA shot 60% against California. California is just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games overall and 9-23 ATS in their last 32 games after failing to cover the spread in their previous game. Play Pepperdine ATS as we move to 6-2 last 10 days in college basketball.

6-Unit Play: Take 619 Marshall -5.5 over College of Charleston (7 p.m., Wednesday, December 9).

While I expect both teams to fare well in their respective conferences, Marshall is in much better shape heading into this early season contest. The Thundering Herd are playing extremely well on the defensive end through their first two games, both ending in wins, including a 16-point win over Wright State. Charleston has dropped two of its first three games and they're putting up awful metrics at both ends of the floor. They're a team getting used to some new faces having lost four of five starters. Marshall is the more cohesive unit at this point of the season thanks to having all five starters back from last season's squad. The Herd enter on an 80% ATS run dating back to late last season, while COC have covered just two of its last nine. I'm laying the points with Marshall on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

Ferringo College Hoops

5-Unit Play. Take #619 Marshall (-5.5) over Charleston (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9)

Charleston is a team I'm looking to bet against this season. We already hit a 7-Unit Play against them with North Carolina. But they've only played two games since, beating a D-II team and getting steamrolled by Furman. I don't think it is going to get any easier here. Marshall already went on the road and beat a much better Wright State team. I don't think they will have trouble here. This high-scoring Herd squad brought back all five starters and its top seven guys from last year's team. They play fast and loose and this team is well versed in Dan D'Antoni's system. Charleston simply isn't as good as it was last year and this looks like a rebuilding season. I think they are going to get rushed here today.

1-Unit Play. Take #622 Arizona (-16) over Cal-Bakersfield (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9)

Cal Bakersfield isn't a bad squad at all. They have all five starters back from last year's squad and should be relatively competitive in their new home in the Big West. However, they are physically overmatched here. Last year they played four games against Top 50 competition. They lost by 12, 28, 16 and 15 so they are right around this number. But they've only been able to play one game against D-I competition this year and I don't think they are in form.

2-Unit Play. Take #635 Oklahoma (-2) over Xavier (8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9)

I know Xavier is 6-0 on the season. But they have not played a very challenging schedule and they very easily could've lost three of those six games. Oklahoma has the two best players on the floor here in Austin Reaves and Brady Manek and they have already gone on the road and beaten a team that I think is better than Xavier (TCU). I think the Sooners are a bit undervalued at the moment and I think they are more than capable of going on the road and beating an overachieving Musketeers squad.

1-Unit Play. Take #652 Florida State (-3) over Indiana (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9)

Indiana is getting way too much respect here. I wasn't all that impressed with this team in the Maui Invitational. They blew out a shady Providence squad and get wrecked by Texas. They were not better than Stanford. I don't think they are better than FSU. Florida State has only played one game this year so it is kind of tough to know what you're going to get from them. However, this is another vintage Leonard Hamilton team: deep, athletic, large and tenacious. They are going to be fine despite some personnel losses. I need to see Indiana win a couple of games like this against big-time competition before I'm on the bandwagon.

1-Unit Play. 5-POINT TEASER. Take #606 Wisconsin (-5.5) over Rhode Island (4:30 p.m.) AND Take #645 Boise State (+9.5) over BYU (9 p.m.)

I have a lean on Clemson as well.

7 Unit Play Take #635 'over' 146 Oklahoma/Xavier (8:00pm est):

Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger wants his teams to play fast and we seen that in their season opener where the Sooners had 81 possessions. When they get outside the Big 12 Conference they tend to play much more up tempo as that was one of the slowest paced leagues in the country last year. Their other game this season was a conference tilt against TCU which was played at a much slower pace but the teams still combined to put up 160 points which was easily the highest scoring game that TCU has played in this year and 35 points higher than what they have averaged in their other four contests this season.

Xavier comes in with a 6-0 start to the season and with an offense that's averaging 81 points per game. They put up 77 points in their last game against a Cincinnati team that allowed more than 77 points (regulation time only) in just 2 of their 30 games last year. In four of their six games so far this season the opponents of Xavier gave up their highest point total in a game this season when going up against the Musketeers offense.

Play 'over' the total in this one. Having another huge year in football with 4k in profits won on the season. Been on fire the last two months on the gridiron as I have posted a winning week 7 of the past 8 weeks betting on football. This is my 5th straight winning year in football. Lots of winning action still left this year. Join in the winning!!

6 Unit Play. Take #639 Over 137 San Diego at UCLA (9:00p.m., Wednesday December 9 PAC12)
Tonight at Pauley Pavilion the UCLA Bruins welcome the San Diego Toreros and tonight I see some offense from the Bruins. This will be the first game of Toreros this year and they have an experience team and last year towards the end of the season the Toreros were an 'Over' team. The Bruins last 3 games they are averaging 87ppg and last year San Diego were 6-2 O/U in their last 8 road games. Tonight I see the Bruins pulling away in the second half I see the Bruins offense putting up a big number at home.

4 Units - #610 TCU (-2) over Providence *5 EST

TCU should have their way here both outside and inside. TCU is very good at defending the perimeter and Providence has issues shooting the 3-ball, TCU on defense against the 3-pointers is ranked 29th in CBB right now, and Providence is a horrific 285th offensively at shooting the 3. TCU also has a very strong frontcourt and a better one in this matchup. Providence lost to Alabama by 17 and Indiana by 21. TCU is slightly lower in power rankings than those 2 teams but still a Top 58 team overall, and to give perspective Alabama is power ranked 68th and I have TCU at 58th. TCU at home here on the short number at -2 at release time dropping from 4, yet the Moneyline here is -150 for a 2 point fav, oddsmakers tipped their hand right there.

6 Units - #652 Florida State (-3) vs Indiana *7:15 EST

I my estimation with the ACC down (Big 10 wiped the floor with them last night), I have Florida State as a sleeper to win the ACC this year. They are virtually unbeatable at home, have the better team and coach in my opinion and lay a short number here. Bear in mind Indiana got waxed by Texas by 22 points, and while they can beat up weak sisters, good teams will give them fits. Barnes and Walker in the backcourt may be the best tandem in the ACC, and also word is Indiana's best player, Al Durham is questionable and not 100% with a bad ankle. FSU has is 39-0 at home against non ACC teams, and I expect that to be 40-0 after tonight with a 8-10 point win.

Indian Cowboy College Hoops

3-Unit Play. #627. Take Georgia Tech -1.5 over Nebraska (Wednesday @ 7:15pm est)

Tech beat this team by 17 points last year and I think Tech is even better this year. I know the public likes the Big 10 here as not many people think much of Tech, but we are pretty high on Tech. I don't think they have a let down after beating Kentucky and this team understands that they are still 1-2 and they need this game to get to .500 and need a big non-conference win. Tech has 5 Upperclassmen, just dominated Kentucky at home, caused 21 turnovers and Tech only had 6 turnovers for their own account as well. Nebraska had 7 wins last year and are already 3-1 this year but thing here is that they have Creighton a top 10 team on deck and is a regional rivalry here to boot. Nebarska also had 15 turnovers last game against South Dakota who shot 25% from 3 point land in that agme and if they shot a little better, they could have knocked off Nebraska. Nebraska also went to the line and shot 30 free throws and we don't see that happening today either.

3-Unit Play. #635. Take Oklahoma -1.5 over Xavier (Wednesday @ 8pm est)

TCU shot the lights out of the ball and they still lost to Oklahoma in their last contest and you have a Xavier team that is 6-0 and undefeated - that's fine but Oklahoma is led by a couple of seniors who are phenomenal and they are well aware that no one has beat Xavier this year and they will get up for this game. Oklahoma is a top 15 offensive team, takes care of the ball and a good offensive rebounding team as well and I think the size difference will be the deciding factor here. Plus, Xavier is still a relatively young team and we like Oklahoma here.

3-Unit Play. #608. Take Clemson -2 over Maryland (Wednesday @ 5pm est)

Clemson beat this team by 4 points last year in overtime and though Maryland has revenge, the thing here is Clemson will have 2000 fans in the gym for this game in a capacity of 9000. Note, that this is a true road game for Maryland and Clemson beat this team last year and beat 3 top 5 teams last year. This is a Clemson team that beat a very good Missisippi State team, and Purdue team and I think they get it going here as they are the more battle tested team coming into this game in our opinion.

Take #628 Over 147 in Georgia Tech @ Nebraska (7:15p.m., Wednesday, December 9 ESPN2) Both teams will be ready to go up and down tonight after playing teams that like to slow down the pace in recent games. The Yellow Jackets have gone over the posted total in 4 of their last 5 road games. Nebraska has gone over the posted total in 16 of their last 23 games following an ATS loss in their previous game.

7-unit Play. #120038. Competition: UEFA Champions League. Take Shakhtar Donetsk +2(-145) over Inter Milan. (Wednesday @ 3:00 pm et) (For this to Win, Shakhtar must Win, Draw, or Loss by exactly 1 goal, if Shakhtar Loss by exactly 2 goals, this is a Push, Regulation + Injury time).

There is a lot to still be hand in Group B with all four teams still in the hunt for a place in the knockout stages. Currently Borussia M'gladbach sit atop the table on 8 points and play at third place Real Madrid at the same time as this match. Shakhtar are stilling in second on 7 points, but have the worse goal difference of the group, but have the head to head advantage over Real for a place in the knockout stages. So a Shakhtar draw and a Real draw see the Ukrainian side through, but a loss today and a Real win or draw will see Shakhtar go home. Now Inter sit bottom of the table on 5 points, but a win will give them at least Europa League action in 2021, and with a Real loss would be Champions League knockout stage. Both Shakhtar and Inter are on three-match winning streaks. Inter comes off a 3-1 home win over 10th place Bologna. In the Champions League they picked up their first win of the season last time out, beating Borussia M'gladbach 3-2 on the road. That win snapped a five match winless run. For Shakhtar, they come off a 5-1 win at home over 11th place Minai. In the Champions League they are coming off just their second win this season with a 2-0 home win over Real Madrid, their second win over the Spanish side this season. These two drew 0-0 in Ukraine in October and we fully expect Shakhtar to play packed in and super defensive. They know they can be through with a draw, but will look for a counter attacking option to steal this from the host.
