Mountaineer - Race #6

#2 Qui	Will likely get bet below the 2/1 ML offering, but her local debut was sharp, charging home by nearly ten to score with maiden company. Guessing she's a handful here.
#4 Jasmine Chieftan	She'll ship from California off a couple of pretty decent efforts in which she wasn't badly beaten. She might be better on the synthetic footing, so I'd want every bit of the 6/1 ML price.
#3 Youawakemysoul	Rolled a soft maiden group in the slop last time out, and while there's a chance she just appreciated the move in with the locals, it seems more likely that it was an off-track aided win. Dicey.
Race Summary	Qui should be tough to handle in here, and she looks like a reasonable single in the multi-race plays. She has run well in both career starts, and her local debut was impressive. Look out.

Mountaineer - Race #7

#7 Can't Kats a Moose	It's encouraging to see the new connections step her back up into special weight company after the no-show run with cheaper last time out. Something like her debut run would keep her in the mix here.
#1 Kentucky Home	Might get a tricky trip from the fence on debut, but this is not a deep bunch by any stretch, and she won't have to be much to handle these.
#5 Roses for Doug	She has had 24 chances, so she's entirely out of excuses, but her two most recent runs weren't all bad and would stack up well enough here if she's able to bring something similar for the new barn.
Race Summary	Can't Kats a Moose is protected off the claim after showing nothing at 9/5 in the local debut. She is capable of something better, and the price should be more attractive this time around.

Mountaineer - Race #8

#8 Dan the Man Can	Not much to write home about from those last two starts, but he'll offer a better number on the board this time around, and might appreciate the local company.
#1 Strong Heart	Cuts back after settling for second in a pair of route runs, and he's quick enough to work out a forward trip from the rail draw.
#6 Sky Energy	He's generally a pretty reliable type, and his baseline effort should be good enough to land a piece with this bunch.
Race Summary	Dan the Man Can is worth a look at a better number than he has offered in recent starts, and he's capable of something much better than he has shown in recent runs.

#6 GALARINA	Game try against similar foes at 44-1, must use in all gimmicks.
#8 TAKE ABIT OF LIFE	In excellent form, draws outer post again.

Race Summary	Galarina tipped 3-wide at the top of the stretch, threatening to upset the favorites. She didn't win but edged closer to the wire in a game effort. Play a 6-8-9 exacta box.

Woodbine-Mohawk Park - Race #3

#3 MACH MESSIER	No room until mid-stretch, useful try on switch to Moreau barn
#1 ON CRUISE CONTROL	Carried speed to win in second start off claim, steps up.
#6 MISSION THREE	Rallied into slow pace to win two back, had post 9 in latest.
Race Summary	Mach Messier saved ground off a contested pace, was shuffled to ninth on the final turn and finished well between rivals on transition from 5/8-mile track.

Northfield Park - Race #10

#2 SS TYS AFLYIN	Cleared early, led until late, moves outside in.
#5 MAGIC N SPICE	Stayed flat, sustained second-over rally to beat top one.
#9 APLOMB HANOVER	Hot at claim box, barn going well, starts from second tier.
Race Summary	SS Tys Aflyin made an early bid to clear to the lead from post 8 and held well until the favorite passed by in late stretch.

Remington Park - Race #4

#2 Don't Forget	Improved in his last race to run third and is developing into what looks like a good claim four back by Asmussen; has the speed to stay in range and can make a solid run at this level.
#6 Chocolateicecream	Has closed well on the turf and is back to the main track, where he's won a race; can get a decent pace and should rally.
#5 Off Sixes	Steps up in class but has enough speed to be a factor throughout this one; should be a decent price.
Race Summary	Don't Forget has been getting close and lands in a spot which he can finish the job; can get first turn vs. deep closers.

Remington Park - Race #6

#1 Strum M B	Has taken on better horses and won at this distance and over this track here a year ago; comes out of a decent sprint and likely will be on or close to the front end. Can benefit from the inside post.
#4 Justins Omen	Put it all together on start No. 17 and was an easy winner; despite many losses, he's had several races in which he ran well. Would not be a shock to see him win a second straight.
#6 Native River	Has the speed to clear the field going into the first turn and will press from the outset; can stay for a piece of it.
Race Summary	Strum M B has been with better company and can be successful in stretching out vs. this group.

Remington Park - Race #9

#3 Dak Da Man	Rallied mildly for fourth in a tough spot last out and can get to these rivals in the final yards; Craddock barn doing well lately.
#2 Cowboy Mischief	Was favored in his last two -- both on the turf -- and moves over to the main track, where he won at this distance last year.
#3 Shweet Persuasion	Comes in from Hawthorne, where had a strong front-end presence going long. Could be the one to catch here.
Race Summary	Dak Ma Man will get a good pace to pursue and has the late kick to success; hasn't won since May and can make a strong push for the win.

When Draymond Green is out of the lineup, like he is expected to be for Tuesday’s season opener, the Warriors have all the makings of an ‘Over’ team. They’re going to push pace, they’re going to attack the rim and get to the free throw line, but defensively, both on the perimeter and in the paint, without Green, this team is lacking. The Nets showed surprisingly good offensive flow in their preseason games, and I’m not sold on Brooklyn’s defense coming out of the gate either. Expect pace and scoring, all game long! Take the OVER.

GS will be without Klay for the year and Draymond is also unlikely to go in the opener. As a result there’s been a bit of an overreaction for the line to be 7.5. The Brooklyn Nets are not in mid season form with KD fresh off injury and possibly limited minutes. It may also take time for the team to play to their potential and adjust to a new head coach. Steph Curry looked really good in preseason and he will be on a mission to remind people why he’s the best PG in the league. This warriors team still has options in Wiggins/Oubre along with rookie James Wiseman who should give their defense a boost. I don’t expect the Nets to play much defense this year and that will allow the Warriors to stay in the game.

JUSTINS OMEN - Doyle rode this horse for the first time last out and comes right back in this race. The jockey/handler tandem of Doyle and Davidson has a strong ROI together. This gelding's last speed rating is strong enough to prove victorious here, I'll bet on him right back in today's event. Last race at Remington Park, he broke from the far outside. I don't need an advanced degree like The Brain to tell me his inside post today should help.

STRUM M B - This gelding finished out of the money on November 6th and wasn't near the winner last race out either. OKLAHOMA LINE - I can't play this confirmed non-winner. Gets the assignment fulfilled infrequently. NATIVE RIVER - You always think this horse has a shot to be victorious, but he comes up short regularly. This gelding has had a great number of efforts at Remington Park and still no victories. This gelding garnered a speed rating in his last affair which probably isn't good enough in today's race.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - JUSTINS OMEN - This racer should be your gambling choice today. This gelding has posted improving speed figures in his last two events.
