5-Unit Play. #563. Take Atlanta Hawks -2 over Chicago Bulls (Wednesday @ 8:05pm est)

I don't think the Hawks are being given enough credit here. This is a Hawks team that has quite a bit of talent and a coaching style they know and are familiar with. You have the usual Trae Young, but you just added Capela, Galinari, Rondo and you have all the draft picks that you had before including Huerter and not too mention some great depth with Bogdonavic. I think the line is a bit low here considering the sense of urgency the Hawks have and not to mention losing to the Bulls the last 3 times they have played them including by 30+ points the last time they played them. Chicago made the right hire in Donovan but the difference here is it will take some time for them to gel and consequently we like these Hawks to open up the season with a 1-0 start.

NEW ORLEANS BOWL -- One of the most impressive conferences in bowl season over the years has been the Sun Belt. Georgia Southern should have an opportunity to continue the conference's success against Louisiana Tech. The Eagles are powered by a ground attack that has recorded over 3,000 yards in 2020. Look for them to wear down a Bulldogs defense that surrendered over 34 points per game this season. Grab Georgia Southern.

                            LOUISIANA TECH +6.5
This matchup carries a sub-50 total, a rarity for the postseason. The reason is quarterback injuries. Tech goes without its main man, Luke Anthony. Southern could dip down the depth chart to its third-stringer, with usual starter Shai Werts iffy and immediate backup Justin Tomlin out. What tips the scales to the Bulldogs is a healthier set of running backs and coach Skip Holtz’s 6-0 straight-up record in bowls, the last three as an underdog.

                            LOUISIANA TECH +6.5
Louisiana Tech has won six straight Bowl games, tied for the longest streak in the nation. Georgia Southern has dropped three of its last four overall and has lost its starting QB. The Eagles are one of the better rushing teams in the nation, and the Bulldogs will have their hands full trying to slow them down. But Louisiana Tech has its own weapon in Luke Anthony, who has passed for 16 TDs with just five interceptions. The Eagles defense is tough, but Bulldogs head coach Skip Holtz will put a great game plan together.

+1189 35-21-2 IN LAST 58 CFB ATS PICKS

                                4% Milwaukee Bucks -3

The Celtics will be without Kemba Walker and Tristian Thompson is also uncertain. They also lost Gordon Hayward this offseason and just don’t have the depth to start the year. Kemba is a big part of their offense and without him, vs better teams, I don’t have faith in Boston to win games. The Bucks have a similar team to last year although Jrue holiday is an upgrade over Bledsoe. DJ Augustin was good in Orlando and off the bench, he will help keep the offense steady. This Milwaukee team won’t get tired as they have adequate depth while Boston likely will tire. The Celtics do not have the size to defend Giannis in this matchup and it will be a problem. MIL has won 8 of the last 11 meetings between the 2 winning by an average of 4.91 ppg and only failing to cover -2.5 in 1 of the games they won. Bucks start the season put strong.
