  This write up will be short and sweet. Don't bet bad teams, unless they are getting points from a bad team. This is a crummy spot for Cincy off their MNF magical ride. Some feel this is a letdown spot. Bengals did benefit from excellent field position and were not some juggernaut on offense. Stopping 1 dimensional Pitt isnt the most impressive defensive accomplishment either.
  The good news is that Finely had a fine game, and we hope he has added confidence. Houston gives it up on the ground, so he should scramble for some yards also. I forgot I had a brief write up for the Las Vegas Review Journal this wk, So I included below.

  Bengals off surprising MNF throttling of 13pt Favorite Steelers. Finley, the lowest rated QB seen in years, may finally have found some confidence after the lottery like win. Houston rates 1 pt higher than Cincy in my metrics, and have no reason to be favored over a TD here. Injuries and suspensions in abundance for the Texans, contributing to why they have the #29 Defense. Poor rushing defense should allow mobile Finley to break some runs off and extend the sticks. One of my favorite NFL betting slogans "Don't bet bad teams, unless you're betting against a bad team laying points" Battle of bumbling teams can only mean the Bungles cover

  Elliott has been announced as in, resulting in my decision to release this game. He didn't make the difference, as I already had my eye on the game, but I thought this line may dip back down, so I expedited the release. Short blurb at bottom for what I wrote for the RJ tomorrow.
  I have these teams even. Amazingly, Dallas has improved more than Philly over the last 6 trailing weeks. Dallas +1.41 and Philly+.44 in line value metric rating. These teams rank 22nd and 23rd on one of my models, and its reversed in the other model. #16 Dallas offense up against #16 Philly Defense. Dallas #26 Defense will try and hold off the #28 Offense. The common theme here is these teams are the same on paper. Dallas gets to avenge that idiotic loss in game 1, where we missed the cover because the refs allowed a play, thought to be dead, continue with everyone standing around watching a Philly defender stroll down the field with the football. There's no crying in betting, but that was an unpleasant decision by the refs to not do their jobs properly. Cowboys get the home dome and I'm a betting that they have every intent to salvage some self respect against the Eagles. These last 2 weeks are always difficult, as the pressure mounts on bubble teams, and many teams start to play fast and loose.

  Analysis: I made this line pick. Eagles fans are optimistic about rookie QB Jalen Hurts. Dallas will never lay down at home against its division rival. Both teams are a mess of poor coaching, injuries and unattainable expectations. A Washington win would mercifully bump these pretenders from playoff contention. Many are running to the window with fists full of money to play the Eagles, but I have to look the other way. It feels as if this game will be full of mishaps.
  By the numbers: The Eagles are on an 0-5 slide on the road. … The home team has won the last four meetings. … Dallas is on a 6-0 run as a home underdog.
