Seeing the Pats as touchdown underdogs -- at home, no less -- is a shock to the senses. In this case, the margin is deserving. Coach Bill Belichick can trot out some lesser-used players to evaluate for the inevitable rebuild. Old reliable CB Stephon Gilmore (quad) has been ruled out, and others without injuries could be as well. Newton’s Law: Do not back a QB (Cam Newton) with more than twice as many interceptions as TD throws in his last 17 starts. No way he can match scores with an in-the-zone Bills offense.

Yes, the Patriots are eliminated from playoff contention and list a whopping 20 guys as questionable, but the thinking is most of them will play (see news feed story). I simply don't trust the Bills now that they are giving more than 7 points; Buffalo doesn't have to care that much because it has wrapped up the AFC East and can't get the top seed in the conference. Thus, maybe we see Sean McDermott pull some of his key guys early. New England has covered its past four as a home dog.

      BUFFALO -7.5
New England’s reign of 11 straight seasons atop the AFC East has come to an end. The Bills are the class of the division now, led by Josh Allen, who pilots the league’s second-ranked passing offense and the fifth-ranked scoring offense. Buffalo averages 29 points per game. The Patriots are having all kinds of issues at quarterback and on offense. The Bills are looking to make a statement here. New England could be without several players on both sides of the ball for various reasons. Buffalo is 6-0 ATS in its last six games overall.

The Patriots managed four field goals last week. And it wasn't a surprise. Buffalo has a tremendous offense and is facing a banged-up New England defense. Lay the points.

        4* Buffalo -7

Two teams heading in opposite directions. Buffalo has won four straight by double digits covering their last six and limiting their last two opponents to a combined 292 passing yards. New England, out of the playoffs for the first time in 12 years, has scored a total of 15-points in their last two games with a total of 299 passing yards. There?s no way in hell Cam is back in Foxboro next year. The Patriots have 186, 113, 126, and 69 passing yards in their last four games. The defense hasn?t quit as they?ve gone ?UNDER? in six straight. But without Stephon Gilmore, the reigning defensive MVP in the lineup, this team is hurting in the secondary. The Patriots are #27 against the run and #26 in sacks. So unable to stop the run and limited pressure meets Josh Allen should be effective. I can?t get official word on whether John Brown plays tonight as he?s listed as questionable. But if he does he and Stefon Diggs represents a dangerous wide receiver combo as any pairing in the league. Jaret Stidham figures to get plenty of looks the next two weeks for Belichick to see who stands behind center next year. But Stidham has looked shaky to say the least. Meanwhile the Bills would like nothing better to have a victory dance in Foxboro with their first AFC East title in 25-years already secured. Allen is a master at changing targets too as 12 different Bills have caught touchdown passes. The Bills have covered 11 of their last 15 road games with two pushes. I know this is the first time Buffalo has been favored in Foxboro since 1999 and this is the biggest spread in the series for the Patriots since 1993. But I don?t see this New England unit putting up much resistance and their offense should continue to struggle against an improving Buffalo defense. I toyed with the idea of a teaser of Buffalo and ?UNDER
