Santa Barbara crushed UC-Davis yesterday, 71-52, exerting minimal effort. I don't see why it would be any different today. UCSB shot 25-for-37 from two-point range on Friday. That tells me that UC-Davis simply couldn't stop this team from getting to the basket. That makes sense, given that Davis is one of the shortest teams in college basketball, with just two guys taller than 6-6 and no one taller than 6-9 on the roster. This year has been kind of a mess for the Aggies. They weren't expected to be any good and then had their season sabotaged by coronavirus. Most teams have had to deal with issues. But Davis didn't face a D-I team between Nov. 28 and Jan. 22. They couldn't beat UC-San Diego in their first game back last week - losing by 20 to a team in its first year in D-I - and lost by 19 yesterday. There is really nothing here to make me think that they will hang within 15 points today.

ANALYSIS: Fool me twice, yet here is another shameless pick against Stanford minus three starters, notably the probable first-round NBA pick Ziaire Williams. The Cardinal have pulled off two straight-up upsets without the trio and catch an underperforming foe here. However, Arizona State has endured a season of stops and starts from COVID-19, and the latest outing — a win over California — hints that the senior-heavy Sun Devils ultimately might live up to expectations. A recent lineup change brings more height to the guard-laden unit. Arizona State's turnover rate is the 14th best in Div. I.
