MALIBU BEAUTY is worth a price stab in a deep field. She improved late in her 2-year-old season, beating a next-out runaway to break her maiden and setting the pace in a stakes route that produced The Grass Is Blue, recent winner of the Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct. Trainer Gary Capuano is 3-7 with a $5.42 R.O.I with first-time Lasix runners (excluding first-time starters) the last three years. FRAUDULENT CHARGE ran a late scare into multiple stakes winner Street Lute (6-for-7, $350k) in a 4-horse field at 7F. She is the first foal out of an unraced dam, but her second dam was a multiple stakes winner going long on the dirt.

LEG B: GULFSTREAM PARK (RACE 8; 4:11PM ET) // CLAIMING // 1 MILE (DIRT)

JANUARY WON held her consistent form for new trainer Kent Sweezey, launching a 3-wide bid at the quarter pole and gaining late on 9-1 upsetter Powerful Ally, a $207k earner who re-awakened that day but set a clear pace to the stretch next out as the beaten favorite. ROSAS WAY blew past the co-favored pace setter in the final furlong on the stretch-out from 6F to one mile and sprung a 17-1 upset. Her winning time was comparable to a 3-year-old MSW race on the same card and she appears rounding to another good effort in her third start for this barn.

DANESSA BABY dueled through a :43.57 half-mile with the second favorite before the runners who were 3rd, 7th and 8th at the first call rallied to sweep the money. She should control a softer pace today and go non-stop from the rail.

THE GEE FACTOR, outrun in her MSW debut on the Santa Anita turf, ships in for O'Neill. The fifth-place finisher in that race was a troubled fourth for $50,000 in a blanket finish next out.

Picks Notes
#7 Musical Man He was no match for stakes company here on Champions Day, but he'll be a much better fit at this level and he owns a little bit of tactical pace to put to use.
#3 Papa's Boy He owns pretty reliable turf form along with some really nice local tries, and he should be in line for a perfect, first-jump kind of trip with these.
#1 Whatdatpayray The two-back turf run was probably a fluke when missing by a neck at 88-1, but he'll be a price again here to see if he can reproduce something similar while getting back on the lawn.
Race Summary Musical Man should get a bit overlooked in this spot, but he proved a good fit at the level on the main last time out and should appreciate moving back to the grass.

Fair Grounds - Race #7
Picks Notes
#1 Jackie Moon Only passed some tiring ones in the debut try, but he'll drop in for a tag for this second trip to post and may fare better with that race under his belt.
#8 Guilty Lover He made a bid in the lane before flattening out when trying this level for the first time, and I wouldn't be too interested in another short price after the fading try at 6-5.
#9 Ranch Badge He showed only brief chasing pace in the debut run with better on the lawn, and he draws well to track the pace from out wide while trying the main for the first time.
Race Summary Jackie Moon gets some class relief off the debut run, and this isn't a very deep spot, even for this level locally.

#2 G's Squeeze She chased a bit last out before fading, and she'll now get some serious class relief while dropping all the way down from the special weight level. Guessing she's prominent throughout to handle these.
#6 Our Starlet She has some early foot to put to use with these, but she has already had a few chances at this level and is a dicey proposition in the late stages.
#4 Miss Laughalot Amoss barn connects at about 25% with these types debuting in MCL ranks here, and she's not going to have to be a star to handle these at first asking.
Race Summary G's Squeeze gets significant class relief for this one, and she showed enough forward ability last out to think she'll be a player in this one from the start.

While revenge isn't prevalent at the NBA level during the regular season outside of player tiffs the Thunder did travel to New York and defeat the Nets in the first month of the season and Kevin Durant was quoted as being disappointed with the team's performance.

Durant was the lone member of the Big Three that played when the Thunder defeated the Nets by a 129-116 margin and today with the first five intact and a second rotation that can outscore what the Thunder's first five bring to the court as a whole OKC is outmanned and scuffled to score against a more talented and healthy squad.
The Play is on Durant, Harden, and Irving to earn a "W" with a double-digit road victory tonight in Oklahoma City.
