We're taking the Over 2.5 goals on Wednesday between Brest and Strasbourg over in French Ligue 1.
This should be a highly entertaining encounter on Wednesday evening between two teams coming off respective losses, with both looking to move into midtable and get clear of the relegation battle going on immediately below them.
Brest especially need to start putting results together sooner rather than later. The Pirates have the toughest schedule of upcoming opponents over their next six games as they face Lille, Lyon and Monaco all in quick succession, so know that they'll need a positive result here if they're going to avoid getting sucked into that relegation dogfight next month.
Strasbourg meanwhile, despite sitting 15th in the table, continue to get it done on offense, ranking 3rd overall in the league on the road this season in overall expected goals, at 1.60 xg per game.
Both of these teams rank bottom half in expected goals against metrics also, so look for this one to be heavy on attack and light on defense on Wednesday.
Take the Over 2.5 between Brest and Strasbourg.

The age ‘ole adages that reference loss in terms of what and how we as a species handle and gain from the adversity don’t go noticed in the Finn family, an immigrant collection that could occupy hours with stories that you might have a hard time believing. Star forward Keyonte Johnson was a Florida loss this season due to injury. The loss was significant. The gains so far have been surprising.
Head coach Mike White and his staff have reinvented the offense. What was expected to be a loss in balance with the injury to Johnson has, in fact, given the Gators more of the court to defend. Collin Castleton and Omar Payne have become relevant scoring options in the paint with more top of the key scoring option in a pick and roll scheme.
If you want proof that Florida can handle defense-heavy lineups, look at how they handled Big 12, West Virginia, last weekend. They play West Virginia again on Wednesday night but do so under the guise of the Mountaineers and Huggy Bear being relabeled the Gamecocks and Frank Martin. The Play is Florida minus the wood.

When the Gators lost star forward Keyonte Johnson for the season head coach Mike White knew his offense would need a rebuild. Labeling what White and his staff needed to supplement the loss of Johnson was more of an overhaul and Florida's bench boss introduced more ball-screens especially at the top of the paint that has resulted in a 50 percent increase in pick and roll plays.

The Gators frontcourt of Collin Castleton and Omar Payne have given Florida what they needed offensively to be more balanced and competitive. If you are a long-time SEC fan and follower the Gators' offense is almost unrecognizable and this is a problem for the Gamecocks and Frank Martin's roster.

ALBANY FRONT - He got a decent speed fig the last time he tried this trip. When a horse drops at least 5 pounds (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but could be helpful. IRISH CHARLIE - A thoroughbred coming back this rapidly after a good effort is a good sign.

DANDY VAN - You always figure that this horse has a shot to cross the finish line in first, but he falters frequently. Ran a great speed rating last time out, but the battle will probably take too much out of him. ESTEEMED - Let me give you a tip. For the most part, don't play a maiden breaker out of a maiden claimer next time out. Finished first in his most recent race with a mediocre speed fig. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this group. BEYOND PRECHER - Awfully tough to bet on this less than sharp equine when he hasn't been showing any indications of eagerness recently. This gelding is always around, but just doesn't finish first. Hard to play him on the win end.

THREE AFFAIRS - Trainer Espinosa moves this horse to a lower level to face weaker company. Look for a solid race with this class drop. This mount is at the top of my list of strong contenders. Her speed, along with a favorable post on this tight track, should take her far in this one. SHE WAS OVERSERVED - First-timer has morning drills over the Charles Town strip, which is always a plus. The ROI when Marrero and Runco team up is fantastic. Runco, the trainer, shows intent by adding Lasix right here. A positive sign.

Vulnerable Contenders: #3 CHEESE LOUISE (ML=1/1), #5 SING FROSTY (ML=8/1),

CHEESE LOUISE - This filly is always in the mix, but just doesn't get the job done. Tough to wager on her on the win end. Once you've got at least ten races at the track and still have no wins, its tough to break through for a victory. SING FROSTY - This equine hasn't been close in either of her last two races.
