I will gladly back Stanford as a home dog against Colorado tonight. The Cardinal will be coming into this game with some momentum, as they just swept a home-and-away against rival Cal. Not only are they playing well, but they are getting healthy.
Junior guard Bryce Wills returned from a 9-game absence in the second game against Cal. Star freshman forward Ziaire Williams and senior guard Daejon Davis are also expected to make their anticipated returns. While you never want to lose guys like this, I believe their absence has made this Stanford team stronger as it allowed some other guys to get in the mix and gain some confidence.
You also have to just love getting points with Stanford at home, especially playing with revenge from a 64-77 loss at Colorado earlier this season. Cardinal 22-12 under head coach Jerod Haase at home when revenging a loss and a perfect 7-0 ATS at home when revenging a same season loss. The Buffaloes are also just 1-9 ATS last 10 on the road after going 15-5 or better over their last 20 games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 road games after 2 or more home wins. Give me the Cardinal +1.5!

The Lightning continue to roll along and while this will be billed as an intriguing showdown between two of the Eastern Conference's top teams, I still feel there's a significant talent gap in play. The Panthers have been afforded an extremely favorable schedule in the early going this season. Arguably their four toughest games - two against the Stars and two against the Hurricanes - were postponed due to Covid protocols. They've played four of their last six games against one of the league's worst teams in the Red Wings. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is off to a 9-1-1 start, also facing a rather light schedule but laying waste to the opposition by a 27-9 margin over the course of its current six-game winning streak. Take Tampa Bay (8*).

When these teams met earlier in the season, the Raptors were really struggling and mired in a slump. The Celtics put up 126 points on them. Toronto has been playing better basketball recently though and tonight's game should have more of a "playoff feel" to it. Recall that the Celtics eliminated the Raptors from the playoffs last year, that final elmination game producing a mere 179 points. The Celtics are back home after five straight on the road. Their most recent game here produced only 191 points, a 96-95 loss against the Lakers. They've held each of their past four guests to 105 or fewer points. Consider the Under.

Off back-to-back road losses to Utah and Colorado, this feels like a spot where the Arizona Wildcats give a big effort as they return home to face the Oregon State Beavers. The Wildcats have had four days to get ready for this game after last playing on Saturday.
The Beavers only have two days to get ready for Arizona after losing 49-78 at Colorado on Monday. They will also be playing their 4th game in 8 days here, something you almost never see in college basketball. The fatigue seemed to show in that 29-point loss to Colorado, and it will likely carry over here tonight.
Arizona already crushed Oregon State 98-64 as an 8-point road favorite in their first meeting this season on January 14th. They also won 89-63 in their home meeting last year. This looks like it will be the third straight blowout victory for the Wildcats in this series given the circumstances.
Oregon State is just 5-17 ATS in its last 22 road games when revenging a loss where opponent scored 85 points or more. Arizona is 24-10 ATS in its last 34 home games off two consecutive losses. The Wildcats are 20-1 SU in their last 21 home meetings with Oregon State. The home team is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Bet Arizona Thursday.

The last play I cut in the NBA on Thursday is with Over the Total in the game between the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons. Indiana (12-13) has lost four in a row after their 104-94 upset loss at Brooklyn last night. The Over is then 12-5-1 in the Pacers’ last 18 games when playing without a day of rest. Indiana has also played 10 of their last 13 games Over the Total against teams with a losing record. Detroit (6-18) snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday with their 122-111 win against Brooklyn as a 5.5-point underdog. The Pistons have then played 9 of their last 11 games Over the Total after a double-digit win. Detroit has also played 9 of their last 12 games Over the Total as an underdog. Take the Over. And thus I like the price we are getting with them as home underdogs to the Indiana Pacers tonight. The Pacers have lost 4 straight and are now just 1-6 SU & 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games. It's a tough spot for Indiana, which will be playing for a 2nd consecutive night after a 94-104 loss in Brooklyn on Wednesday. Today's free pick is on the Indiana Pacers as a 2.5-point road favorite against the Detroit Pistons. I know the Pacers aren't exactly playing great at the moment riding a 4-game losing streak, but let's not overlook that 3 of those losses were to 3 of the best teams in the league in the Bucks, Jazz and Nets. The other was a 1-point loss at home to a hot New Orleans team. Indiana will be on no rest here, but if there's one team they handle in the 2nd game of a back-to-back it's the Pistons. Detroit is off a big upset of Brooklyn, but that was more of the Nets being a no-show than anything. When teams show up against Detroit the Pistons usually lose and that's what I expect to see here. Bet the Pacers -2.5!

Well aware that the Red Wings haven't performed well on the road. Also know Nashville is much better at home. That said, this line is ridiculous, as the Preds simply haven't played well enough to lay this type of price. Let's talk about Nashville's penalty killing. Basically there hasn't been any. The Predators have permitted 19 power play goals this season. Two more than St Louis, and six more than any other team in the league. That's 1 ½ goals per game.

Literally everyone will be on the Sixers tonight. Yes, they are playing very well you can't take that away from them. I know Portland has some injuries as they always do but they are well rested here with this only being their 2nd game in 5 days. Portland was also a 10 point dog @ Philly earlier this season and won outright and Philly actually shot a better percentage from the field.
