No one wants anything to do with betting FIU given their recent form. The books know this and as a result have inflated this number to where there's simply too much value to pass up with the road team. UTEP has no business laying this big a number. The Miners are just 2-7 SU and 2-7 ATS over their last 9 games, which includes a loss at home to Rice as a 8.5-point favorite. Play FIU +8.5!

This is a lot of points. I believe that it'll prove to be too many. While the Magic are off a game last night, they're 3-2 ATS when playing the second of b2b games. Last night's loss, along with a loss to the Kings at Orlando a couple of weeks ago, should provide the Magic with added motivation this evening. The Kings are just 2-4 ATS as favorites. The Magic eked out a 2-point win their last visit here. Consider Orlando.

The Orlando Magic are 3-15 SU & 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games overall. Injuries have hit them hard as they are without Fultz and Gordon and could be without Fournier, Anthony and Aminu tonight.
Now this is a very tough spot for the Magic, who are coming off a 105-111 loss in Golden State last night. Orlando will now be playing the 2nd of a back-to-back, its 3rd road game in 4 days and its 5th game in 8 days overall. I don't expect the Magic to handle it very well with how short-handed they are right now.
They face a Sacramento Kings team playing its best basketball of the season, going 7-2 SU & 8-1 ATS in its last nine games overall with upset wins over the Clippers, Nuggets, Celtics and Raptors. They also beat the Magic by 14 on the road during this run. The Kings are rested and ready to go after having the last two days off. They will push the tempo and test those tired legs of the Magic.
The Magic are 0-5 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. The Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last four games vs. a team with a losing record. Sacramento is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Bet the Kings Friday.

Today's free pick is on the OVER 218.5 between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. I don't think it will be hard at all for these two teams to hit 220, especially with the way the Grizzlies are playing defense coming into this game. Memphis has allowed at least 114 points in 5 straight games and are giving up 121.8 ppg on 53.5% shooting during this stretch. Hard to see them slowing down a Lakers team that averages 117.8 ppg at home with or without Anthony Davis. At the same time, LA's defense hasn't been great of late, giving up 112 or more in 3 straight. They are also allowing 110 ppg at home on the season. Bet the OVER 218.5!

I got no problem laying the big number with the Kings at home against the Magic on Friday. While Sacramento fell 111-119 at home to the 76ers and failed to cover as a 4.5-point dog, it was pretty impressive they only lost that game by 8-points shooting just 43.4% from the field and getting outrebounded 59-39.
I see that as a mere hiccup in what's been a great stretch of basketball for the Kings, who are now 7-2 SU and 8-1 ATS over their last 9 games. Having had a full 2 days off since that loss to the 76ers and no travel with another home game, I look for Sacramento to play very well in this one.
The same can't be said for Orlando. The Magic are absolutely decimated with injuries right now and will be forced to play on no rest after last night's 105-111 loss at Golden State. Not to mention this will be their 3rd road game in 4 days on the complete other side of the country.
Last night the Magic only had 9 players available and that quickly dropped to 8 when starting point guard Frank Mason had to leave the game with a groin injury after logging just 4 minutes. Highly unlikely he plays. We also know they won't have Gordon for this one and Fultz and Isaac are both lost for the year. Cole Anthony, Evan Fournier, Michael Carter-Williams and Al Farouq Aminu are all questionable with injuries.
After giving quite the effort last night against Steph Curry and the Warriors, I could see the Magic waving the white flag before this one even starts. As long as the Kings show up to play, they should have no problem winning here by double-digits. Give me Sacramento -8.5!
