WASHINGTON @ PITTSBURGH | 02/14 | 3:00 PM EST
WASHINGTON +100
The Caps are finally healthy from COVID and they are well rested having not played in about a week. The Penguins haven’t been scoring like they usually do, and despite a perfect 4-0 home record none of those wins were by more than one goal. Take the dog.
3 Unit Play. #816. Take Georgia Tech -5 over Pittsburgh (Sunday @ 4pm est)
Let's roll with Georgia Tech here as Tech comes off back to back conference losses but they are the team with the more likelihood of going to the NCAA Tournament - more than Pitt. Tech has not gone to the Dance in about a decade, so a win here would go a long way. This team remember should have beat Clemson, but it took a last second buzzer beater essentially with 1 second left to defeat them. Their star player who shoots nearly 90% in free throws missed two late in the game and I don't see this team folding here as they rarely lose 3 games in a row this year and I believe their focus will be high today. Pitt is a very good team, that comes off a win against Va Tech and fought Virginia close, but I think the difference here is that Tech has a very senior team, is a team that beat Florida State, Notre Dame and Clemson by 18 earlier this year - as well as a win over North Carolina. Pitt is outside the top 200 in many offensive categories and has a tendnecy to be suspect on the defensive end as well to boot. Let's roll with Tech here as they likely get it done by double-digits.
PORTLAND @ DALLAS | 02/14 | 7:30 PM EST
PORTLAND +5
ANALYSIS: The Mavericks scored a season-high 143 points (58.3 percent from the field) against New Orleans on Friday. It marked the second straight game in which they shot over 50 percent. Dallas also shot 55.6 percent from 3-point range, making 25-of-45 attempts, and committed just six turnovers. I always look to fade NBA teams that scored 140 or more points. The Mavericks are 6-10 ATS after scoring 130-plus points over the last three seasons, including 0-1 this campaign. Portland keeps this one close.
COLORADO @ VEGAS | 02/14 | 7:00 PM EST
COLORADO -120
Vegas played last night in San Jose while the Aves were resting and off. Robin Lehner is hurt right now, so Vegas will either start a tired Marc-Andre Fleury or their third string goalie. This is a good value to fade the Knights at home.
