  This game qualifies as my strongest NBA totals release this season (to date) based on a plethora of situations that favor a high-scoring affair. The OVER is supported by a 106-65 NBA system of mine that involves games with a total of 227 points or greater and this situation is 7-1 OVER in the last eight times it was triggered. The OVER also falls into a profitable 56-23 situation of mine that involves teams with recent success against the Vegas number.
  From a team standpoint, Brooklyn is 20-3 OVER in its last 23 games, 16-1 OVER in its last seventeen games as a favorite 10-1 OVER in its last eleven road affairs, 12-1 OVER in its previous thirteen games following a win and 15-3 OVER in its last eighteen games off a SU and ATS win. Let's also note that the OVER is 8-2 the previous ten times these teams have met in Phoenix.
  The Nets are 10-3 OVER away from home this season where they are allowing 122.1 points per game on 48.8% shooting from the field. Teams are shooting 49.6% from the field in Brooklyn's past five games, while the Suns are shooting 47.8% FG% at home (37.6% 3-PT%) and 51.6% FG% in their last five games (38.4% 3-PT%).   Ball State is coming off its most impressive win of the 2020-21 campaign, an 81-67 upset over Toledo as a nine-point underdog. The Cardinals' second-best performance of the season came against Bowling Green last month, a dominating 88-64 road win that snapped a four-game losing streak against the Falcons. Ball State finished plus-15 on the glass and limited Bowling Green's three best players - Justin Turner, Daeqwon Plowden, and Trey Diggs - to just 30 points on 9-for-26 shooting. That trio combines to average 45.1 points per game.
  One key to Ball State's success has been its perimeter defense. Ball State is 27th in the country in 3-point percentage defense (.299). That is good for third-best in the MAC (behind Buffalo and Akron). The Cardinals have held nine opponents to seven or fewer made 3-pointers this season and are 5-4 in those games.
  Not much has changed since that meeting to justify making Ball State a home underdog in tonight's rematch. The Falcons are a money-burning 19-41-3 ATS as favorites, 4-9 ATS in their last thirteen games as road favorites, and 1-8-1 ATS in their previous ten games versus .499 or worse opposition. The underdog is a profitable 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in this series, while Ball State is 12-5 ATS in its previous seventeen home tilts.

  My math model only favors Loyola Marymount by 0.91 points in this game and the underdog in this series has covered the point spread in six of the previous seven meetings. Loyola Marymount has covered two of its past three games but the Lions are a money-burning 9-21 ATS after covering the number in two of its previous three games over the last three seasons. The Lions are just 7-18 ATS following a home win since 2017 and have fallen short of market expectations in four of their past five games overall.
  The Lions are 1-4 SU on the road this season where they are averaging just 63.8 points per game on 39.6% shooting from the field and 28.2% from beyond the arc. The Lions' offensive struggles are likely to continue against a very good Santa Clara defense that is limiting opponents to 60.6 points per game on 35.8% FG% and 30.6% 3-PT% on its home floor this season. Michigan State was in total control a few weeks back, but allowed the Boilermakers to go on a run in the final minutes to lose the game by a point The Spartans have so much talent. If you look at a team like Duke you can understand why they are struggling, but this Michigan State team has players that have played in the Tom Izzo system for a long time. There is no reason why this team should be struggling the way they have been. Purdue is a good team, but they are not going to light up a scoreboard. I believe the Spartans have the talent to make this game close. They lack focus, but as long as they don’t lose by more than 2 possessions who cares. I think these teams are evenly matched and we should see a really close basketball game. Take Michigan State.
