Feb 21 | Tony Mejia | 3% | [CBB] (797) Michigan at (798) Ohio State Time: 1:00 PM EST |
Total Over 143.5 (-120) |
Analysis: These teams are meeting while ranked in the top-five nationally for the first time ever, which is kind of a big deal since they’ve been playing since 1909. Hunter Dickinson’s length will be a major factor for the visiting Wolverines since they’re typically unbeatable when either he or Franz Wagner impose their will in the paint. Ohio State star E.J. Liddell plays much bigger than his size and is always a difficult matchup as a result but he’s giving up more than a few inches here, so his effectiveness will be tied to getting to his spots and avoiding foul trouble. Finding a way to pull Dickinson out from the paint and isolating him on defense given the ability of Liddell, Justice Sueing and Kyle Young to take him off the dribble will play a huge role in this matchup. Ultimately, I think both teams get comfortable on the offensive and think drawing the whistle by aggressively attacking mismatches will play a large role at both ends. Look for a tight game that gets extended down the stretch and ride the high side |
Feb 21 | Marco D'Angelo | 4% | [CBB] (807) Maryland at (808) Rutgers Time: 3:00 PM EST |
Maryland +4.0 (-110) |
Analysis: 4% (807) MARYLAND (+4) This play is all about fading Rutgers who returns home off playing Michigan on Thursday. Rutgers lost but was able to get the cover as they caught Michigan in that Wisconsin/Ohio St Sandwich spot. While the knee jerk reaction is to grab Rutgers I’m going to go with the revenging road dog. Maryland lost at home back in December when Rutgers was playing their best ball of the season as Rutgers opened the season winning 6 in a row and 7 of their first 8. Since the 6-0 start they have gone 6-8 SU. Rutgers is 9-3 SU at home but just 5-6 ATS. Maryland has won 3 in a row albeit 2 of them against Nebraska. Maryland is 7-4 SU the L11 games with 3 of the 4 losses coming against Michigan, Ohio St and Wisconsin the 3 best teams in the Conference. Maryland is flying under the radar in the Big 10 and are a very live dog here. My numbers have Maryland winning by 2 or more. TAKE MARYLAND as my 4% COLLEGE UPSET SHOCKER PLAY. |
