Game: (699) Xavier at (700) Providence
Date/Time: Feb 24 2021 9:00 PM EST
Betting Line Provider: Consensus Line
Play Rating: 4%
Play: Providence +2.5 (-110)
My math model only favors Xavier by 0.18 points in this game and the Musketeers are a money-burning 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as road favorites. More importantly, Xavier is just 10-22 ATS as a favorite over the last two seasons, while the underdog has covered the point spread in six of the previous 8 meetings in this series. Let's also note that Providence is 6-0 ATS in its last six home games versus opponents with a .501 or greater road winning percentage.
Providence does an excellent job defending the three-point line as opponents are shooting just 30.9% from beyond the arc against the Friars this season. Teams are shooting just 28.6% from three-point territory at Providence this season and the Musketeers are averaging 23.8 three-point attempts per game.
Finally, Providence is 13-6 ATS in its last nineteen conference clashes, including 10-3 ATS in its last thirteen conference games versus .501 or greater opposition. With Providence standing at 10-3 ATS in its previous thirteen home games, take the Friars plus the points and invest with confidence.
