Analysis: The Hilltoppers took their shot at taking down a heavyweight and got squashed in the second half at Houston on Thursday night, so we’ll see how a slice of humble pie affects them. I don't see any hangover coming, particularly since they played a pretty solid opening half before being out-classed and come in healthy and with fresh legs, having played only once since going on a COVID hiatus following an 89-66 rout of Rice on Feb. 13. For FIU, standout playmaker Antonio Daye entered the transfer portal on Thursday after playing 22 games in his junior season, concluding an excellent 87-game career in Miami. He’s already been in touch with Arkansas. Rick Stansbury is looking to see his team respond positively with a heightened sense of urgency and should be able to take apart an FIU squad that is going to struggle without its leader. The scoring output Iowa managed in Thursday’s 79-57 loss at Michigan was its lowest in nearly two years. Jack Nunge's absence will force them to go smaller, but ultimately, that favors the Buckeyes. Considering Iowa ranks fourth in the nation with 85.2 points and Ohio State comes in 45th with an average of 78.0 per game, expect both teams to rebound and eclipse the 80-point mark in a high-scoring game the Buckeyes ultimately pull away to win. Back the over as a 4% total. Ride Ohio State as a 3% side.
