The Cardinals beat Toledo 81-67 earlier in Muncie. Ball State had its season best 38.1 defensive effective field goal percentage. Also a season low in holding the Rockets to a 15.2 offensive rebounding percentage. The Cardinals are off its best game of the season, a 100-65 victory over Eastern Michigan. So we can see a major letdown here.
On Tuesday the Rockets crushed Central Michigan everywhere but the scoreboard in a 81-79 defeat. Toledo had a season low 14.3 offensive rebounding percentage and permitted 18 of 31 from two point range defensively. That’s just a no show performance by the Rockets, and we called it with our free play on Tuesday. Now having lost three of six games, Tod Kowalczky will have his team well prepared to lay some whoop ass, before starting the conference tournament.

I think MS FALSETTO is a solid choice. Broberg has one of the strongest winning percentages in this group of animals with entries running at this distance and surface. Earned a formidable Equibase Speed Figure in the most recent race. Can run another good one in this race. Has recorded formidable Equibase Speed Figures in dirt sprint races in the past. FLATOYA - Has run solidly when racing a dirt sprint race. Should go to the front end and could never look back. DULCIMER DAME - Will almost certainly come out strong - I have liked the way this filly has moved sharply to the lead recently. Had one of the top speed figures of this group of horses in her last affair.

FLOROPLUS - It looks like Bermudez had to learn about this gelding on January 9th when riding him for the initial time. Back atop again today. This jockey and handler's animals have been generating a favorable return on investment. I can't ignore the fact that this gelding is working extremely well. TALE OF FAME - Classic handicapping theory - 3rd or 4th start after a vacation generally leads to a big effort. Today's the day. KATE'S GOLDEN DUDE - Gonzalez and Anderson partnered with one another are a horseplayer's friend. Atop this racer on January 9th and Gonzalez is right back in the irons in today's race. Past performance data show this pony with three improving Equibase speed figures. Gonzalez should be on a live horse in this field. OLDZFOURFORTYTWO - He has the topmost earnings per race entered. Take a long look at this horse. ALIEN SEASON - I think Turfway Park players know a good thing when they see the rider/handler twosome of Corrales and Ward. Their winning percentage together has been good. Finished sixth at Turfway Park last out. Was close at the end and at odds of 9/2 right here, he looks like a possible contender.

FUENTE (GB) - Lone speed horses can be tough to run down. Here's a lone front running sort facing sluggish sorts today. Badilla brings him back again. I propose you stay with this strong gelding. MANILA MISCHIEF - I really like that last outing on February 14th at Golden Gate Fields where he ran fourth. Gelding got a healthy speed rating last time he tried this trip. That number would be good enough to win today. Look for this one to go all the way home at some pretty good odds today. Ran fourth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the wire. You have to really like that most recent race speed rating, 108, which is the top latest race speed figure of this bunch. HARMON - Have to give this gelding a good shot. Ran a solid race last race out within the last 30 days. Is ranked uppermost in EPS (earnings per start). A dominant try in today's race can augment that total.

Vulnerable Contenders: #3 OF GOOD REPORT (ML=5/2), #5 POUR ON THE COLE (ML=7/2), #1 NOWHERE MAN (ML=8/1),

OF GOOD REPORT - Based on the pace scenario in this race, this animal doesn't fit in here. With a single front-runner and this horse having to race from behind, he sure has a tough assignment. Not probable that the rating he recorded on Feb 19th will hold up in this affair. POUR ON THE COLE - This was a fit horse, but now this one hasn't been doing anything in the morning. Have to think this one is suspect. NOWHERE MAN - A bit of a lackluster effort when this gelding finished third. Doubtful that the speed figure he earned on February 21st will be enough in this clash.
