A powerful outing in this event will add to the lifetime total. SACCO AND VANZETTI - Oliveros and Bernardini teamed up together are a railbird's friend. The morning line odds on this gelding are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of trainer Bernardini. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins.

DR ZRADA - You always have to be on the watch for revenue generating jock/conditioner combinations; we have an instance right here. Taking a class drop in Equibase class figure points from his Jan 26th race at Parx Racing. Based on that data, I will give this animal the edge. Earnings per race is something that I believe can be a vital factor. This mount is ranked number 1 in this group. Look for this gelding to show much better right here. Last race at Parx Racing finishing seventh on a track listed as good is no indication of his true talent.

Vulnerable Contenders: #6 STAR LUCK (ML=8/5), #2 DEL PO (ML=7/2), #4 BEST START (ML=8/1),

STAR LUCK - This gelding is always in the mix, but just doesn't finish on top. Hard to invest in him on the front end. DEL PO - Shins may have ailments since they added wraps in the last affair. Can't really be sure that the most recent speed figure of 56 is true since it was garnered on a track listed as good. Somewhat easily forgotten rating in the last race at Parx Racing at 6 1/2 furlongs. Don't believe this pony will improve too much today. BEST START - In any event of 6 furlongs, I like to play a contender that has been sharp in short distance races lately. 8/1 is too low of a price to take on most any animal that has run poorly in back to back races around the track.

Al Cimaglia: Pompano Park Pick 4 Analysis-$20,000 Guaranteed Pool

Tonight, Pompano Park has its 0.50 Pick 4 starting in Race 6. The sequence has a $20,000 guaranteed pool with a low 12% takeout, and it will be my focus.

On Sunday, Wally Hennessey was the top pilot with two wins. Trainer Tee Wine led the conditioners with two trips to the winner's circle. Speed ruled, as is usually the case at the Pomp and it was a chalky night.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Villiam (2-1)-Has had a great start to the year hitting the board 5 times in 6 starts with 3 wins. Chindano barn has been rolling over the past 30 days with 27% wins. Not sure the rail helps but should be put in play versus this group.
6-McMach (5/2)-On 3-1 took control at the half and rolled home in 150.3. Plano can duck and move early like in last, and this 7-year-old can stay good for a while.

Race 7

3-Southwind Amazon (6-1)-Usually has trouble winning versus this kind but is in form. If dialed on high this 11-year-old could get a cozy trip from this post and surprise at a square price.
6-Prairie Panther (5/2)-Raced a big mile from post 7 and hung on to beat #3 in 1st win on Lasix. Over the years has been a winning machine at the Pomp (25-38). Bumps up in class but can make it 2 straight with a decent trip.
7-Skip To My Lou (3-1)-Has won 4 times in the last 5 starts and 3 were at this level. Chindano could try to leave but others will be doing the same. If the pace is hot this 5-year-old could grinded out, but it should be a battle.

Race 8

4-Millennial (10-1)-A few things need to happen for this price shot to win. It all depends on the trip and my guess is Chindano leaves, and the chalks may not seal the deal. If the pace is sizzling, one big brush at the right time could be enough to sweep by.
5-Rockin Machine (9/5)-Beat #6 on 3-1 and took advantage of an efficient trip. Offers a short price and should be in the hunt but is trip dependent.
6-LA Rockin Sampson (3-1)-Deserves respect but faded down the lane in last. Holliday will probably blast out and look to get the top. That has been a successful game plan when in top form.

Race 9

2-Cloudbreak (7-1)-Miller's choice does its best work on the engine and should have a good shot at getting there. Comes off the best start since being scratched lame on 1-25. Should offer a nice price and could take a picture if upswing continues.
7-Grand Galop Semalu (7-1)-Will look for another price and play against #5 the 9/5 choice. Short field may help chances after taking the long way around to win from the 2nd tier. The pace should be honest, and Holliday could be rolling fastest of all down the lane.

#4 Cool Power Debuter doesn't meet the deepest group for the local level, and he'd be appealing at something like the 9/2 ML offering.
#3 Race Craft Expecting better from him this time around, and he has bounced back from hard fades in the past. Price probably won't be fair.
#6 Sammy Danseur Jr. He might get a bit more relaxed trip while removing the blinkers, and that might lead to a decent tracking trip with these. Not impossible.
Race Summary Cool Power seems ready to go in a race that includes some suspect logical players, and the jockey/trainer team has been returning a positive ROI this meet.

Delta Downs - Race #2
Picks Notes
#2 Enduring Peace She cleared the maiden ranks at this trip with $20k maiden claimers, and she gets back to this 5f run in a race with a good bit of pace. She might get a pretty good trip spying the pace at a price.
#7 Jus My Imagination The price will get much shorter after outrunning the 33/1 odds last out, and not sure the addition of blinkers is going to be a net plus in this spot, as it likely ensures she's in the pace battle early.
#3 Scampering Grayce Speed has been pretty good here, but she's an inconsistent type who will face a tough race shape today with plenty of other pace signed on.
Race Summary Enduring Peace gets what might be a pretty advantageous race shape with some speed to spy, and she'll be a nice price while facing an easier group than she met at FG last out.

Delta Downs - Race #7
Picks Notes
#7 Crider Chase Tough to trust this 13-start maiden, but she's fairly reliable for a runner at this level, and she should be able to get a jump on the main threat.
#2 Swanee Beach She would be no surprise while meeting a group that lacks depth, but she is consistently one-paced, and that gives the top choice a chance to get away late.
#6 Cabo Sunset She's another logical player in a soft race, but she has had 17 chances already and will probably find one of the top two a bit too tough today.
Race Summary Crider Chase gets the edge over ML chalk Swanee Beach, as she can get first jump with these in a race where there might not be many in here finishing with enthusiasm.
