My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play on my cut list for Tuesday college basketball action is on Wake Forest plus the points versus Notre Dame. Wake Forest (6-15) limps into the opening round of the ACC tournament with seven straight losses after a 75-63 loss to Georgia Tech as a 9-point underdog on Friday. But the Demon Deacons are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games played on a neutral court. They will also be motivated to avenge a 79-58 loss at Notre Dame on February 2nd — and they have covered the point spread in 9 of their last 10 games when playing with revenge from a loss by at least 20 points. Notre Dame (10-14) snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday in an 83-73 upset win against Florida State as a 5.5-point underdog. But the Fighting Irish is just a 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 games against teams who are not winning more than 40% of their games. The Isles have been playing well. However, they're stepping up in class here. I expect a visit from the talented and hungry Bruins to bring them back down to earth. Off an upset loss to the Devils, the Bruins are going to be in an angry mood. The fact that they're 0-3 against the Isles this season adds further motivation. The last of those meetings was a 7-2 beatdown. Obviously, Boston hasn't forgotten. The Bruins haven't fared well here this season but are still 18-6 their last 24 visits here.
