Unlikely that the speed figure she registered on Jan 28th will be good enough in this race. AIR WALKER - You always think this horse has a shot to be the victor, but she comes up short frequently. I'll take my chances here with the Gators as a slim 4.5-point underdog in Friday's Quarterfinal matchup with Tennessee in the SEC Tournament. These two teams just played in the regular-season finale on Sunday. The Volunteers won that game 65-54, but there was a huge piece not on the floor for Florida.
The Gators played that game without their best player and one of the top players in the SEC in sophomore guard Tre Mann. Keep in mind that with Mann on the floor, Florida whooped the Volunteers 75-49 at home earlier in the season.
I know Tennessee has the rest edge with Florida having to play Vanderbilt yesterday and the Vols not being in action. I just don't think it's enough to pass up on the Gators at this price. Tennessee just hasn't been the same team down the stretch. After starting the season 10-1, they have gone just 7-6 in their last 13 games and most of those wins came against the bottom half of the league in the SEC.
Vols are 0-6 ATS this season when off a win by 10 or more and have actually lost outright in this spot by an average of 4.3 ppg. Tennessee is also a mere 2-10 ATS last 3 seasons in road games after 15+ games when playing a good team that's won 60% to 80% of their games. Give me Florida +4.5!

The Gators dropped its final two regular season games before knocking off Vanderbilt in the tourney yesterday. One of those defeats was a 65-54 loss at Tennessee, a game which was much closer when looking at the advanced stats. That was a season low in points for Florida, who crushed the Volunteers 75-49 earlier in the year.
Tennessee was dominant defensively earlier in the season. But since the start of the New Year the Volunteers just haven’t played defense with the same intensity. And on offense its been brick city from distance against the Gators. How about 6 of 39 through the two games these teams have played. Shooting three pointers in the bottom half of the country in success rate likely won’t change much here.
