| Analysis: We're taking the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road tonight catching double digits to cover in Philadelphia against the 76ers. Breakdown Embiid remains a game time decision for tonight's game against the T'Wolves and with the Grizzlies, Celtics and Pelicans on deck, even if the big center does return, it'll likely be for a short run as the Sixers look to push Brooklyn for that top spot in the East down the back stretch of the season. Minnesota meanwhile, despite being one of the bottom tier teams in the league, are still playing hard, and we like that aspect in backing them here tonight. The Timberwolves have won two of their last five straight up and Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his fifth straight double-double in last night's 12 point loss to the Grizzlies. In terms of performances though, Minnesota continue to improve, particularly on defense. The Grizzlies rank 27th on overall defensive efficiency this season, but over their last three games, this has improved to 17th, so they're continuing to play hard in games and their 4th Q points allowed is now the 11th best in the league. We believe with bigger threats down the road Philadelphia likely take a quote on quote “night off” here and look to eke out a win at home against a team who present little threat to them if both teams were at 100%. But this is the betting business and catching +10.5 with a team who we know play hard despite their limitations and who continue to improve on the season, against a team with questionable motivation here is simply too good to pass up. Take Minnesota tonight plus the double digits to keep this one close and potentially cause a huge upset and win outright in a spot we expect them to perform well in tonight.
