Thursday comp play on the points to add up in the Warriors-Timberwolves contest in the Twin Cities.

I would think after being held to 103 points in a 30-point home drilling absorbed against the Mavericks earlier this week, the Warriors will be ready to bust out tonight and net a few points against the T-Wolves.

Golden State did snap a skid of 4 straight Unders in that loss to Dallas and they will be facing a Minnesota team that has held Under the total in their last 3 games.

Based on those stats, you could make a case for an Under, but both series meetings this year between the teams have played Over and the Over is 4-2 the last 6 times these teams have faced one another, so my feeling is we are in store for some offense tonight.

      2* GOLDEN STATE-MINNESOTA OVER

Thursday comp play on the Bucks to rake in the bucks against the Rockets.

This one is really a "no brainer" as Milwaukee still has a shot at the #1 overall seed in the conference standings as they trail the Nets by 3 1/2 game and the Sixers by 2 1/2 games in the standings.

Brooklyn plays tonight at Indiana, while Philly is idle, so look for the Bucks to keep pace with the Nets and gain a half-game on the 76ers with the comfortable win over the injury-depleted Rockets.

Houston has lost their last 5 games and they have now also lost John Wall for the remainder of the season to a hamstring injury.

Milwaukee has been able to go 12-6 this season when laying -10 points or more, so do not fear the big road impost in this spot.

This Rockers roster more resembles a "D" Team, than an actual NBA club these days.

        Lay it with the Bucks.

My free play for tonight is the Milwaukee Brewers over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

I won't get long-winded on this one, as it comes down to one player: Brewers starter Eric Lauer.

The southpaw steps to the hill for his season-debut after a disappointing first season with the Brewers in 2020. If there is a game he'll want to prove himself, and make a statement, it's tonight in the series-opener against the Dodgers.

When he was with the Padres, Lauer was a sterling 5-0 with a 2.11 ERA in seven starts against Los Angeles. Confidence is one thing he won't lack in this matchup.

I know Trevor Bauer has been lights out for the Dodgers, and he's already garnering Cy Young talk, but he is just 1-1 at Miller Park, with a 3.65 ERA. Eh, mediocre if you ask me. And since he's due for a clunker, and the Brewers winning six of their last nine, I think this might be a letdown spot for L.A.'s newest ace.

Let's take a shot here with the Brew Crew.

          2* DODGERS

My free winner for Thursday is a matinee clash, as I'm playing the Tampa Bay Rays over the Oakland Athletics.

And I'm relying heavily on the arm of Shane McClanahan, who debuted as a reliever in the postseason last year. Now he makes his regular-season debut as a starter for the Rays, and I'm excited to see the club's No. 5 prospect.

Oakland has struggled a bit against lefties this season, hitting just .230 versus southpaws. Plays in favor for the hard-throwing southpaw, who is expected to stick around and will be good for four or five innings.

McClanahan, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Wednesday, has a high-ceiling arm and an electric fastball he won't be afraid to throw against the aggressive Athletics. His command has improved, so he'll be touching corners and leaving hitters frozen, rather than losing them to walks.

Oakland has lost two straight and three of four, as it gears up for its seventh straight road game. I don't like this spot at all, as the A's have to have one foot in their charter plane home.

            Take the cheap home favorite.

Free play winner last night in hockey came through on the Oilers-Jets Under the posted total.

Today I am playing another hockey Under on the Penguins-Capitals.

The Penguins have only been able to come up with 2 goals in their last 2 games and the Under stands at 3-0-1 for their last 4 contests this season.

Overall, Pittsburgh is on a 5-2-1 Under run for their last 8 games contested.

Washington has been Under in 2 of their last 3, as the puck has not been able to find its way into the net for the Capitals in 2 of those last 3 games.

These division rivals have not skated since the end of February and 2 of the last 3 between the teams have held Under the total.

Look for this one to be a defensive battle as these teams battle it out for the top spot in the East Division.

              Pens-Caps Under

              3* PITTSBURGH-WASHINGTON UNDER
