ANALYSIS: Pretty cheap price on the Nats considering they get to add a big bat with the designated hitter (although they remain without Juan Soto), are starting ace Max Scherzer and the Blue Jays other than hitting last have little home-field advantage playing in Dunedin, Fla., right now due to COVID reasons at the US/Canada border. Scherzer was shaky in his 2021 debut but has been dominant since. The Jays were hoping to activate George Springer off the IL today but didn't and are starting an "opener" on the mound because their rotation is an injured mess.
