                  MIAMI @ L.A. DODGERS | 05/14 | 10:10 PM EDT
                  L.A. DODGERS -1.5
ANALYSIS: Through last Friday night, the Dodgers had lost 14 of their last 18 games. They lost again on Sunday and then were on the verge of losing Tuesday before Gavin Lux's clutch three-run bomb in the eighth. Then they blew the Mariners out on Wednesday. Thursday was an off day. They are rested and have their mojo back and are ready to go on an extended run. Clayton Kershaw loves pitching at home and the Marlins are ripe for the taking. On the run line we only need the Dodgers to win by two, but expect a blowout-level Dodgers win. They are coming. Mark my words.

                  SAN FRANCISCO @ PITTSBURGH | 05/14 | 6:35 PM EDT
                  UNDER 7.5
ANALYSIS: The Pirates have one of the worst offenses in baseball and have now scored two or fewer runs in eight of their last 10 games. The level of pitching they've faced hasn't really mattered. This time around, though, they'll get a guy pitching like one of the best in baseball in Kevin Gausman. Expect him to shut them down deep into the game. So why not just take the Giants? Because Pirates' starter Tyler Anderson is quietly having an excellent season. In his last five starts, he has a 2.32 ERA while holding opponents to a .152/.222/.200 line. He's been better at home, too. It's a low under, but I like it.

                  9:28 PM

                  PHILADELPHIA @ TORONTO | 05/14 | 7:37 PM EDT
                  TORONTO -1.5
ANALYSIS: The over is awfully tempting here with the Blue Jays' powerful offense taking on Vince Velasquez, but we're taking the Jays on the run line instead. It boils down to trust. The Phillies have knocked Steven Matz around for years, notably Bryce Harper, Didi Gregorius and Jean Segura, but this is an inconsistent bunch likely to be without JT Realmuto. Meantime, the Jays' bats are really hot and TD Ballpark has played incredibly hitter-friendly all year. The over is likely to hit, but we're more confident in a multi-run Jays win.

                              CHI. CUBS @ DETROIT | 05/14 | 7:10 PM GMT
                              CHI. CUBS -135

ANALYSIS: The Cubs are 13-0 in franchise history with Jake Arrieta starting vs. any team that is on a four-plus game winning streak. Chicago was the underdog in four of the 13 wins. In addition, the Cubs are 10-0 in the first game of a series with rest as favorites of more than 130 when they lost the last two games their starter started. The Tigers are 0-13 in the first game of a home series with no rest when playing a team that has a better record and it is before the All-Star break.

                              HOUSTON -216

ANALYSIS: The Astros are 17-0 as 185-plus home favorites after a game in which they did not hit a home run and 13-0 as home favorites after a game in which their opponent left 18-plus men on base. The Rangers are 0-18 as 170+ underdogs coming off a road game in which they hit at least one home run.

                              UTAH @ OKLAHOMA CITY | 05/14 | 8:00 PM GMT
                              OKLAHOMA CITY +13.5

ANALYSIS: Oklahoma City has been a lot grittier than the pundits would lead you to believe. The Thunder are 9-0 ATS at home with rest off a double-digit road loss in which they led by double digits and 6-0 ATS in franchise history at home off a road loss in which Darius Bazley had a negative plus/minus and took at least four shots. The Jazz are 0-7 ATS on the road off a home game and 0-6 ATS facing a team that is averaging less than 58.0 points per game from 2-point range.

                              NEW ORLEANS @ GOLDEN ST. | 05/14 | 9:30 PM GMT
                              UNDER 230.5

ANALYSIS: The Under is 14-0 when the Pelicans have rest and when their assists dropped by at least 10 and points scored dropped by at least three from the game before. The Under is 6-0 when Stephen Curry scored at least 15 points fewer in his last game then he did two games ago.
