The OVER (8.5) is worth a look in Monday's MLB action that has the White Sox visiting the Twins. Today's starters faced off against each other last week when these two teams played in Chicago. It didn't go well for either guy. Dallas Keuchel gave up 6 runs in 5 2/3 innings, while J.A. Happ allowed 9 runs in 3 1/3 innings. The two teams ended up combining for 21 runs in a 13-8 White Sox win. I'm confident they get to at least 9 runs today. Play the OVER 8.5!

They just scored 19 runs in their three games with the Orioles over the weekend and should get after Jordan Lyles and the Rangers today. The Rangers are 0-6 in their last six games overall. Lyles is 1-3 with a 6.63 ERA in his eight starts this season, including 0-1 with a 12.27 ERA in three home starts. Gerrit Cole is probably the best starter in all of baseball if it's not Jacob DeGrom. Cole is 5-1 with a 1.37 ERA in eight starts this season, and 3-0 with a 0.86 ERA in three road starts. Give me the Yankees on the Run Line.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5
The Carolina Hurricanes have some value today but not at -185 on the moneyline, I will take them on the puck line.
The Hurricanes have dominated the Preds as of late going 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. The Preds did beat them last time out 5-0 but at that time Carolina was safely at the top of the division and the Preds were still battling there for needed the game more. For me the Hurricanes have the advantage everywhere, offensively, defensively special teams and in net.
Some Trends to note. Hurricanes are 7-2 in their last 9 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game. Hurricanes are 7-2 in their last 9 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game.
