          MINNESOTA @ VEGAS | 05/24 | 10:30 PM EDT
          VEGAS -180
ANALYSIS: Vegas can finish Minnesota off tonight in Game 5 in Sin City. The Knights have won each of the past three by multiple goals, so I don't see why that shouldn't happen. Marc-Andre Fleury is playing out of his mind. Vegas will want to get this done with and rest up for an epic second-round series vs. Colorado. The Golden Knights were approved for increased capacity for Monday's game.

          MIAMI -125
ANALYSIS: Marlins lefty pitcher Trevor Rogers has been spectacular this season at 6-2 with a 1.74 ERA. Rogers went a career-high 7 2/3 innings in his last start, holding the Phillies to one run on five hits. That Philadelphia lineup is without Bryce Harper in addition to the injured JT Realmuto and Didi Gregorius on Monday. The Phils are 7-9 vs. lefties and 8-14 on the road.

          MILWAUKEE -185
ANALYSIS: Both teams have to feel good about their chances to win Game 2. Miami's two best players, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, combined to shoot 8-for-37 in Game and the Heat still nearly won. On the flip side, the Bucks were an atrocious 5-for-31 from deep and the did win. I expect another close victory for the home side.

ANALYSIS: Milwaukee's Brandon Woodruff (2-2, 1.58) is an excellent starting, pitcher, but getting the Padres as an underdog -- albeit I'm using the runline -- is something too good to pass up with how they are playing of late. Their lineup is that much better than the Brewers'. Milwaukee also has struggled vs. lefties and the Friars go with southpaw Blake Snell (1-0, 3.79).

          TAMPA BAY -110
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay can finish things off against their state rivals in South Florida, and the Bolts will have star forward Nikita Kucherov. He left Saturday's 6-2 win with a lower-body injury but has been cleared. So has Mikhail Sergachev (undisclosed). Florida, meanwhile, is going with rookie Spencer Knight in net and while he has a potentially very bright future, it's asking too much to beat this loaded Tampa team in my opinion.

          PITTSBURGH -140
ANALYSIS: I've been in a horrible slump on my NHL picks for about a week with a lot of it simply ridiculously bad luck -- how in the #&%** did the Oilers blow a 4-1 lead on Sunday in Winnipeg, for example!? Ah, the Stanley Cup playoffs. It's Game 5 of this series and each team has stolen one on the road so far -- each also lost just four times at home in regulation during the regular season. New York was the much better team at home Saturday, but the Pens 19-9 all-time under head coach Mike Sullivan in the playoffs following a loss, including 1-0 this year.

          CHI. WHITE SOX -160
ANALYSIS: The Cardinals are starting a lefty pitcher and that's really all you need to know to back Chicago, which has just two losses since the start of the 2020 season vs. southpaws. That lefty is Kwang Hyun Kim (1-1, 2.73). This will certainly matter a bit more than other outings for White Sox right-hander Lance Lynn (4-1, 1.55) as he spent the first six seasons of his career with St. Louis. The Cardinals lineup struggled badly all weekend against the other Chicago MLB team.

ANALYSIS: The Phillies ended a four-game losing streak Sunday, while the Marlins come in with wins in their last two. The Phillies have lost four of Zach Eflin's last five starts. His last start was five days ago against the Marlins and Tevor Rogers in Philly, a 3-1 Marlins win. It was Rogers' third straight start allowing just one run. He's given up only 10 earned runs in nine starts (1.74 ERA) with the Marlins winning six of them. Take the Marlins to win Monday.

ANALYSIS: Trevor Rogers is 6-2 with a 1.74 ERA this season and he went a career-high 7.2 IP only allowing one run against the Phillies in his last start. He has not allowed more than one run in each of his last three starts. Zach Eflin has been good for the Phillies but he has serious home/road splits. He is 1-2 with a 5.68 ERA on the road but 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA at home. The Phillies have lost 7 of their last 10 games and they are 8-14 on the road. Take the Marlins at home.

ANALYSIS: The Padres have won nine games in a row and they are hitting right now. Blake Snell is starting and the Brewers have one of the worst teams in the league against lefties. Brandon Woodruff is starting for the Brewers and he is 0-2 with a 1.61 ERA in four starts in May. He is getting a league worst 1.58 runs of support per nine innings, take the team that’s hot at plus money.

ANALYSIS: Lance Lynn is 4-1 with a 1.55 ERA this season and since returning from the IL, he is 3-0 with a 2.14 ERA. Kwang-Hyun Kim has struggled this season with his command, which is very uncharacteristic because he is a command-first pitcher. The White Sox are the best team in the league in OPS against lefties and Kim has been far from his best self this season. The Cards will get to add a DH to their lineup, but they are without Paul Dejong and Tyler O’Neill already so it will honestly hurt them relative to the White Sox. Take the White Sox at home.

ANALYSIS: These two teams have been scoring at will, but both power plays have also been extremely good. Spencer Knight could get his first career playoff start for the Panthers considering how poorly the Panthers other goalies have played this series. I think the Panthers will obviously be going all out down 3-1 and the Lightning should be able to solve a rookie goaltender in a close out game. I think this game will be high scoring.

ANALYSIS: The Golden Knights are up 3-1 in this series after losing the first game and they look to finish it off at home. The Wild have been reeling, along with some key injuries have given the Knights a commanding lead. The Knights don’t want to play a Game 6 and they definitely don’t want to go back to Minnesota, look for them to close out the series tonight.

ANALYSIS: The Penguins head home with this series tied 2-2 after splitting a pair of games on the road. During the regular season, the Penguins were a much better home team while the Islanders struggled on the road. I think the Penguins are the better and they should show it tonight. The last change for Mike Sullivan is clearly massive and I think the Penguins take advantage of that tonight.

ANALYSIS: The Heat did not win Game One when they outscored the Bucks by 45 points from three-point range. If they don't win that game, then how are they supposed to win? That was potentially Miami's shot to steal this series. The Bucks will make more shots in this game. It's all mental with the Bucks, and getting over last year's 4-1 series loss to Miami is a big part of Milwaukee's journey in this postseason. The Bucks will roll and will also sweep this series.

ANALYSIS: The Nuggets are starting to realize that last year's team, with Jamal Murray and Jerami Grant, was much better than this year's version. The Blazers are playing their best basketball of the season, as they won 10 of 12 to finish the regular season and cruised to a Game 1 victory. Why expect anything different in Game 2? The Blazers will win this straight up.

ANALYSIS: The Mariners have been a good team to pick on,. They’ve scored nine runs in their last 5 games combined, not covering the run line in any of them and only going past two runs once. The entire Mariners team is flirting with the Mendoza line. So we will take the A’s on the run line )9-1.5, +125) Monday to keep capitalizing on Seattle's skid.

ANALYSIS: The Padres are one of baseball’s hottest teams at the moment. They have won nine in a row and 12 of 13. I am happy to get them on a positive line Monday and would not be surprised to see this line lose value as we approach first pitch, so grab it now. The Brewers have not been offensively productive at home and will most likely need to rely on pitching to keep the Padres under four runs, as they rarely surpass that number themselves. Lets trust the Padres to notch an underdog win.

ANALYSIS: Colorado is still an abysmal 5-14 on the run-line away from home and I do not see the Rockies succeeding Monday. I have spoken about it a fair amount but, to reiterate, traveling from Coors FIeld is tough. The Rockies played there Sunday, completing a sweep of Arizona, and look to be a position to lose after a day of travel. Let’s keep the trend going and play the Mets to win by at least two runs (-1.5, +150).

8-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 222.5 Miami at Milwaukee (7:30 p.m., Monday, May 24)

These two teams played an ugly game in Game 1 of this series. The Bucks won 109-107 in overtime. These two teams weren't close to the total. I think that tonight's game will be much higher scoring. Miami has been playing 'over' consistently and their offense has been great so far in May. The Heat averaged 117 points per game in their last nine regular season games. They were on a 11-2 run against the total before going 'under' in the first game in this series. I think they will be much better in this game. The Bucks are the No. 1 offensive team in the NBA. They averaged 120 points per game in the regular season. They were 5-2 against the total in their last seven regular season games. The Bucks have been going 'over' and doing it against totals that have been posted in the 230's and 240's. I think that they will have a better offensive night in this one and will score at least their 120-point average. These two teams played three times in the regular season. The scores were 122-108, 119-108 and 144-109. That is an average of 233 points per game in the first three meetings. The 'over' is 6-2 in Miami's last eight road games and the 'over' is 4-0 in their last four after a loss. The 'over' is 5-2 when Milwaukee is a favorite and is 5-1 after a win. Take the 'over' in this one.
