Not something you have heard in the recent years, but I find it hard to imagine that a team as good as the Knicks have been, would go down 0-2 in one of the craziest atmospheres, a stadium that has missed seeing the NBA playoffs. The Knicks are 20-5 as a F in the L25, they are 7-1 in the L8 as a F off a LHF when the line is > -3, going 17-7 in the L24 off a L, which includes a 9-3 record as a F off a L TY. In those 12 games, the Knicks are outscoring opponents 112.8 - 97.8 (a +15 PPG differential), and I can’t imagine what that atmosphere is going to be like in the intensity of a game 1 L at home, and the importance of capitalizing on home court, in the L4Y they are 11-2 as a HF off a LH (5-0 in the L5 games). New York is also 16-3 @ home when the line is between 3 and -3, and are capitalizing on teams that allow 46%+ shooting, going 30-13 ATS. Atlanta on the other hand is 15-32 as a RD in the L47, they also are 6-13 ATS s/ 2007 off a W in the 1st round of the playoffs as an AD. The Hawks have also put up 90+ shot attempts in the L2 games, in the L2Y they have done that 17 times, and in the 3rd game following that stretch, the Hawks are 3-14 ATS.
