                    • Game: (555) Denver Nuggets at (556) Portland Trail Blazers

                      Play Rating: 4 units
                      Play: Portland Trail Blazers -170

4 unit Portland Trailblazers (-170) over Denver Nuggets –
Since the Trailblazers won game 1 as an AD, and lost game 2 as an Ad, teams following that 2 game swing is 20-7 SU. Portland is also 18-5 SU off a L as a HF. Portland is also is 8-2 in the L10 on the R, coming into game 2 on an 8-1 run. Lighting doesn’t strike twice often, after losing 1 game in 9 games, I found it hard to believe that the Nuggets can repeat what they did again in game 3 and back in Portland. I couldn’t make up my mind immediately, the points or the money line, but all in all I decided to go with Portland on the money line.

                          TEXAS @ SEATTLE | 05/27 | 10:10 PM EDT
                          SEATTLE -1.5
ANALYSIS: I was waiting to see if the Rangers would shift into moneyline favorites, and they have as of this writing (may not last). I'm not sure why since Texas is 9-16 away from home and 10-23 vs. right-handers. Seattle goes with righty Chris Flexen (4-2, 5.09). He has a 2.18 ERA at home this year compared to 8.10 away. The Mariners are 6-2 in Flexen's eight starts. It's lefty Kolby Allard (1-0, 3.15) for Texas. He probably won't be out there long as he has been used in relief so far in 2021. Seattle has won eight straight at home in the series, so I'll take the runline gift just to be safe.

                          PHOENIX @ L.A. LAKERS | 05/27 | 10:00 PM EDT
                          L.A. LAKERS -275
ANALYSIS: I won't take a moneyline favorite at more than -300 so this fits at just under my limit. The Lakers have WAY more size than the Suns, which showed clearly in Game 2 as L.A. won the battle of the boards with a big contribution from Andre Drummond and even Marc Gasol. Anthony Davis was back to his All-Star self. Meanwhile, teams generally shoot worse from deep on the road than at home. Through two games, Phoenix is only shooting 31.5% from deep, failing to take advantage of the Lakers at 28.8%. L.A. will be much better at Staples Center. And, obviously, there's the fact that Chris Paul is playing one-armed (see news feed). This spread is probably too big, but Los Angeles wins.

                          N.Y. YANKEES -130
ANALYSIS: First game of a doubleheader. Probably be some major butterflies for the Jays' Alek Manoah as he makes his big-league debut -- he was supposed to Wednesday in the game postponed. He's a touted prospect and very good this spring, but pitching in Yankee Stadium is something different entirely. The Bombers start Domingo German (4-2, 3.05), who has had three straight quality starts. The Yanks also get back former batting champion DJ LeMahieu from the paternity list.

                          NASHVILLE +120
ANALYSIS: The home team has won every game in this series, but you probably knew that. In the playoffs, a team that scores first wins the vast majority of the time. Nashville has scored first in four of the five games in this series so far and is just 2-2 in them. Still, that's a good sign. Juuse Saros was WAY better at home during the regular season than on the road and won both home starts in this series. Also, fan attendance will be boosted to more than 14,000 for this game, which is a nice advantage. Capacity for a hockey game at Bridgestone Arena is 17,159. The Preds force a Game 7.
