ANALYSIS: The Yankees catch a break for the second game in a row in that Red Sox slugger and DH JD Martinez is not in the lineup due to a wrist injury. He's hitting .321 with 12 homers and 39 RBIs. Domingo German (4-3, 3.27) is on the bump for the Yanks as they try to avoid the home sweep. He's 1-0 in two career home starts vs. Boston. The Sox counter with Garrett Richards (4-4, 3.75). He has a 2.70 ERA in his past seven starts but is 0-4 with a 7.43 ERA in five career starts at Yankee Stadium. For some reason, Boston doesn't much like Sundays, going 2-5 in its past seven on the day. New York has won four of its past five in Game 3 of a series. Could manager Aaron Boone be in big trouble if the Bombers are swept?
