I am going to stay away from Cincinnati’s bullpen of recent but early in this game I think we will be looking at a slow offensive start to the game. Sonny Gray has produced 4 under’s in his L6 starts and 3 out of the L4, not to mention on the other side Mills has pitched 5 straight under’s. Cincinnati is also 1-5 in the L6 as favorite, 2-7 @H and 1-6 OU as HF, needless to say they are struggling to put up runs. The Cubs on the other hand are struggling to even get the bat on the ball, they are hitting .172 in the L10 days @ H, and .183 in the L5 days. Chicago is 22-38-1 OU vs. RHP TY, including 3-8 off a day of rest (and 4 straight on the road w/ a day of rest). The Cubbies have also posted a 4-10-1 OU run following a game with 7 or more runs, which includes a run of 0-6-1 OU in the L7 games AND in those games they are outscoring opponents 3.14 AF - 1.86 AA… for an average total of 5 combined runs in those 7 games.. THAT IS LOWER THEN THE 1H total!!

They also come in here red-hot, on a four-game win streak, including a three-game sweep over the Twins. Lynn (7-3, 2.17) and Mize (5-4, 3.46) are taking the hill here. Lynn owns a career, 4-3 record with a 3.61 ERA in seven starts vs. Detroit. Mize, in four lifetime starts vs. Chicago is 0-2 with a 4.37 ERA, The White Sox are 4-0 L4 vs. RH starters, 43-14 L57 vs. teams with a losing record, and 38-14 L52 as a favorite. Take Chicago. ANALYSIS: Was not going to bet Atlanta on this game unless Ronald Acuna was in the lineup -- he is. Braves lefty Drew Smyly has a lousy 5.79 ERA on the season but had a 2.84 ERA in June. That included a win over Miami. The Marlins' Pablo Lopez has a 2.87 ERA overall but 4.10 on the road and, buried the lede, 12.86 in two starts vs. Atlanta. Acuna is 7-for-18 off him with two homers. Not really sure why the Braves are such short home favorites. Miami is 4-10 in its past 14 games vs. a left-handed starter.
