GUANAJIBO is my choice. Could best this group here, showing strong numbers of late. He has a very strong distance/surface win record - 10 for 54. Ran a sharp last race. OPERASTICO - Should come out strong - I have liked the way this gelding has moved sharply to the front end recently. Has a sharp shot for this race if you like back class. BOLD MASTER - Is worth considering and may be a bet - strong Equibase Speed Figures (63 average) at today's distance and surface lately. Looks quite good versus this group and will probably be one of the early speedsters.

DAME OF THE WEST - We have lots of early speed with this thoroughbred. She could wire this field. I think the shorter distance will help this filly stay the trip. SAN JUAN STORM - I like that last race on Jul 16th at Crooked River Roundup where she ended up third. Just check out her last speed rating, 56. That one fits well in this field. Recent Equibase speed figures show powerful pattern of improvement. BODE'S BEST - I'm figuring this horse to run a big one this time out.

I think BELLA PIERINA is a solid choice especially at a long price. Has respectable Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a wager for this event. Players ought to take a good look at this one as this mare has one of the best win percentages at this distance in this field. Has the look of a lucrative wager. SHIFRA MAGICIAN - Ashby is trying to score with this one by bringing her back so soon. Has to be carefully examined - I like the numbers from the last affair. SUIKO - The speed fig of 89 from her last contest looks decent in here. Trainers don't bring ponies back this soon for no reason.

STUDLY PERFECTION - Gelding won on Mar 14th at this class and distance. This horse has the pace, and no one may be able to keep up with him. JAN'S RESERVE - Desormeaux and Trela teamed up together are a punter's friend. I like the piece of information that this gelding's last speed rating, 99, is tops in this bunch. T BONES TRICK - You always have to be on the lookout for bankroll building rider/conditioner tandems; we have an instance right here.
