          CLEVELAND @ KANSAS CITY | 08/31 | 8:10 PM EDT
          OVER 9
ANALYSIS: I am happy to fade Cleveland RHP Zach Plesac and Kansas City RHP Jakob Junis by taking the Over here. Plesac struggles a bit on the road and has surrendered six runs in two of his last three away starts. Junis, who was just recalled, had a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP this season before being sent down and failed to make it through five innings in the minors since returning from an injury. Both teams were off on Monday, so I expect the bats to be ready to go.

          COLORADO @ TEXAS | 08/31 | 8:05 PM EDT
          UNDER 8.5
ANALYSIS: I’ll take the total to go Under here at even money. It’s a good price, and we know Colorado's offense struggles on the road while Texas usually struggles in general. The Rangers, who are facing LHP Austin Gomber, have the worst offense in the league against lefties. The Rockies are going up against RHP Jordan Lyles, who can falter at times, but Colorado also happens to be the worst offense against righties by wRC+ standards. I don’t see many runs getting scored on Tuesday.

          PHILADELPHIA @ WASHINGTON | 08/31 | 7:05 PM EDT
          OVER 9
ANALYSIS: I'm kind of surprised this line didn’t make it to 9.5. Both teams tee off against left-handed pitchers, and I don't think it’s a stretch to say that Washington LHP Patrick Corbin and Philadelphia LHP Matt Moore are not dependable southpaws. Corbin comes in with a .363 xwOBA and Moore at .339, which puts both of them in the bottom 10 percent in the majors. Fade the weak pitchers and take the Over.

          BALTIMORE @ TORONTO | 08/31 | 7:07 PM EDT
          TORONTO -1.5
ANALYSIS: Keegan Akin night is here. Yes, he looked like a stud against the Los Angeles Angels his last time out, but that was at home against a pretty sub-par team. Now, he's on the road against a Blue Jays team that needs to win these games in order to stay in the wild-card race. In Akin’s 19 starts, the Orioles are 2-17, and only two of the losses were by a single run. He gave up six earned runs at Toronto in June, and I expect a similar fate on Tuesday. Blue Jays LHP Hyun Jin Ryu should have no problem against Baltimore's weak offense. Take Toronto -1.5 runs at -160.

              BALTIMORE @ TORONTO | 08/31 | 7:07 PM EDT
              TORONTO -1.5
ANALYSIS: Baltimore pitcher Keegan Akin is 0-5 with an 8.25 ERA on the road and was shelled for six runs in 4.1 innings in his lone 2021 start vs. Toronto. The Blue Jays offense, which already is the best at home in the AL, welcomed back George Springer from injury Monday. In 50 games as a Blue Jay, he has now scored 42 runs and reached base safely 79 times. Toronto pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu is 3-0 with a 2.89 ERA this year vs. the Birds (who are resting one of their top hitters in Trey Mancini). Obviously not going to risk -320 or whatever so Jays at -150 on runline it is.
