KRISTI'S TIGER is my choice. Overall the Equibase speed figs of this horse look quite good in this race. Is tough not to look at given the company run in lately. This filly is a contender based on her earnings per start in dirt sprint events. LITTLE MISS ELLIE - She has been racing strongly lately while recording very solid speed figures. WISHTHEYALLCOULDBE - This filly has some longshot angles I like to wager on. This filly obviously likes the distance, going 1 out of 4 in her races as of late.

My selection for this event is CHAMPS SUCCESS. Has to be carefully examined in this competition if only for the decent Equibase Speed Figure garnered in the last affair. Is worth thinking about and may be a wager - strong Equibase Speed Figures (74 average) at today's distance and surface lately. OXWOOD - Conditioner boasts strong win figures at this distance and surface. I expect a quite good performance from this racer whose conditioner has one of the strongest return on investment percentages with horses running at this distance and surface. TOUR THE WORLD - Displays strong Equibase speed figs on average overall when put alongside the rest of this field. Is tough not to consider given the company run in lately.

TEXAS REWARD - Have to give this filly a chance. Ran a nice race in the last race within the last month. Looking at this filly's running lines, I see she's almost always on the board. Horses out of the barn of Galvan have been solid on the turf. Should do well in this race. This filly's has a great shot against these horses in today's race. Her handler has an excellent win percentage when moving horses from the dirt to the turf. MAHKATO - When Alvarado and Lynch team up on horses the return on investment has been fantastic at +155. Have to like this mare today. If you take a look at her PP lines you see a definite trend, getting closer with all race. The 86 latest race speed fig looks good in black and white. SPIN YOUR PARTNER - Speed figures on the grass point to this thoroughbred as a legit contender. Has the best in the field for this distance/surface. This mare is in fine form, having run a strong race on August 4th, finishing second. UNCLE MO'S AFFAIR - Based on this mare's recent efforts, she should benefit from this race's shorter trip. I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a come back. When a racer drops at least five lbs (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but could be helpful. PRINCESS ADIRA - Acosta and Lynch teamed up together are a railbird's friend. Trainer Lynch moves this thoroughbred to a lower class level to face weaker company. Look for a good performance with this class drop. This animal has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 57 to 62 to 75 in a row.

BLAME THE GODS - Hasn't finished in the money in any sprint races lately. Not likely to see her doing it this time out either. BEAUTIFUL TIZ - The Brain always warns me to stay away from ponies in sprint contests that haven't hit the board in short distance affairs recently. DESTINIQUE - Not easy to back any runner in a short distance race if she hasn't finished in the money in a sprint in the last couple months.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - MAHKATO - Advancing each step of the way, this mount has recorded significant increases in her speed figures over her last two contests.
