MLB | Padres vs Giants
Play on: Giants -1½ +120 at SC Consensus
FREE PICK - San Francisco Giants -1.5 (+120)
RATING: 30*
ROT#: 912
I think we are getting a solid price on the Giants -1.5 run line at +120 odds. With that said, if your book has it, I love SF -1 (-120) even more. This is just too good a price to pass up on San Francisco at home with the way the Padres are playing and the edge they have on the mound. San Diego has lost 4 in a row and have scored a whopping 5 runs in those 4 losses. They have been shutout 3 times in their last 6 games.
With an offense that can't score, it really puts the Padres behind the 8-ball in this one. That's because they are sending out struggling veteran Jake Arrieta. He's got a 7.03 ERA and 1.722 WHIP in 22 starts this season. Even with a decent outing in his last start (gave up 3 in 5) he's got an atrocious 11.68 ERA and 2.028 WHIP in his last 3 starts. He's also facing a Giants offense that has scored 6 or more in 8 straight games.
Anthony Desclafani will be on the mound for the Giants. They have won 8 of his 11 home starts this season and he's got a 2.90 ERA and 0.967 WHIP over 7 career starts vs the Padres. Give me the Giants -1.5 (+120)!
