Taking a shot here with the road dog which has far more early season familiarity and cohesiveness. Lakers offseason revolving door finds them with three new starters here including prize signee Russell Westbrook surrounding Anthony Davis & Lebron James. Dilemma for LA is what style they'll settle into this season. Russ loves to push pace by the Lakers aren't built to run. Slowing the pace and playing predominantly half court offense has never been Westbrook's offensive preference. Add to that the question mark surrounding the team's three point shooting. Aside from backup SG Malik Monk, Los Angeles doesn't have a consistent three point weapon in their lineup tonight since Trevor Ariza and Wayne Ellington are out. The list of depth absences extends to Taylor Horton-Tucker so LA's rotation isn't what they'd like it to be. Golden State meanwhile brings their brand of extreme tempo led by Steph Curry's unlimited shooting show and they have a slight revenge angle after being eliminated by Los Angeles in last season's play-in game. Warriors aren't the type of team to be in awe of all the pre-game theatrics that will go on here at Staples Center which makes them a likeable plus points wager.
Recommendation: Golden State +3.5

NBA opens tonight and once again I do believe they have priced the total on this Nets-Bucks opening night encounter just a little too high.

These Eastern Conference rivals are no strangers to one another as they last met in the postseason on Milwaukee's march to the NBA Championship.

The series went the distance and over those 7 hotly-contested games the Under went 5-1-1.

Overall, the Under is 7-1-1 the last 9 times these teams have faced one another.

Brooklyn has seen each of their last 5 games when installed as the road underdog hold Under the total, while Milwaukee ended their championship run by playing Unders in 2 of their last 3 games before hoisting the trophy.

With this being the first game of the new season, I do not expect either team to be firing with mid-season form, so play the Under.
