The Charlotte Hornets are one of the most underrated teams in the NBA this season. They are off to a 3-0 SU & 3-0 ATS start this season. They have a nice core of Ball, Bridges, Hayward and Washington. They added Oubre Jr. in the offseason, which was a great move.
The Boston Celtics are 1-2 SU & 1-2 ATS this season with their only win coming on the road last night in Houston. Now they have a long trip to Charlotte playing this 2nd of a back-to-back and their lack of depth will be tested. They lost to the Raptors by 32 at home prior to that win over the lowly Rockets and will be playing their 3rd game in 4 days as well.
Home-court advantage has been huge in this series. The home team is 9-2 SU in the last 11 meetings. The Hornets are 37-18-1 ATS in the last 56 games vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the Hornets Monday.

Monday's Free NBA Pick on the Indiana Pacers as a 2-point home dog against the Milwaukee Bucks. Most are going to just look at this line and run to place a bet on the Bucks. They just won't be able to figure out how the defending champs are such a low favorite against a Pacers team that has started out 1-2. Thing is, Milwaukee's dealing with a lot of injuries to start the year. They are down two starters in Lopez and Holiday, which really hurts them defensively. Indiana has also played better than their record as their two losses both came on the road by a mere 1-point. They got 3 guys scoring 20+ ppg and the defense looked a lot better in their home opener, holding the Heat to just 91 points on 38.5% shooting. Bet the Pacers +2!

The Miami Heat had yesterday off while the Orlando Magic pulled the upset in New York. It was a shocking result after the Magic had lost by 26 to the Spurs and by 25 to the Knicks the two games prior. It was an aberration. The Magic will now be playing the second of a back-to-back and their 3rd game in 4 days. The Heat come in fresh after having yesterday off. They beat the Bucks by 42 points in their lone home game this season. They will make easy work of the Magic, too. Give me the Heat.

I will gladly lay the 2.5-points with the Bulls on the road against the Raptors tonight. Chicago was thought to be greatly improved after the offseason moves they made and that seems to be the case. Bulls are 3-0 SU and 3-0 ATS to start the season. They struggled a bit with Detroit in their opener on the road, but rebounded to crush New Orleans 128-112 and beat the Pistons in a rematch 97-82 on no rest and playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.
The Raptors were a team that a lot of people thought could be the surprise in the east this year, but I'm just not seeing it. They lost 83-98 at home in their season opener. They rebounded with a shocking 115-83 win at Boston and then lost at home 95-103 to the Mavs.
The thing you got to remember with that Celtics win is they caught Boston in a brutal spot. The Celtics had just 1 day off after that crushing 134-138 2OT loss at New York in their opener.
Toronto also shot just 42% on their way to scoring 115 vs Boston. Raptors have not shot better than 42% in any of their first 3 games and are just 26.4% from behind the 3-point line. Give me the Bulls -2.5!

The Blues crushed the Kings by a 7-3 score in this same matchup two nights ago but I look for Los Angeles to put up more of a fight in Monday's rematch. Note that the Kings check in 6-1 the last seven times they've come off a game in which they allowed six or more goals, outscoring opponents by an average margin of 1.2 goals in that spot. They also average an impressive 4.2 goals after losing four of their last five games over the last two seasons, as is the case here. The Blues meanwhile have gone a miserable 7-15 after scoring three goals or more in four straight games over the last 2+ seasons, outscored by an average margin of 0.4 goals in that situation. Keep in mind, the Kings have held their own against the Blues here in St. Louis, splitting the last six matchups. Saturday's game marked their first loss by two goals or more this season. Take Los Angeles +1.5 goals.
