  How many times will you hear this week that Atlanta has had 2 weeks to prepare coming off the bye and Miami played in London and has to travel back. Not only did they play in London they lost to Jacksonville. No one will want any part of Miami after last weeks debacle. Yet this line is sitting at only -2 less than a FG just pick the winner right? The look ahead line had Miami -3 but because they lost to Jacksonville the line is -2 the other way. What happened last week that warrants a 5 point adjustment? Tua was 33/47 for 329 yards in his return last week and should be better this week as he had to be rusty missing a few weeks with the injury. Atlanta has two wins on the season 3 point win over the Giants and 7 points over the Jets that doesn’t impress me in the least. MIAMI 24-20

  Last week I backed the Raiders and a lot of people questioned the pick thinking the team would be in disarray with the sudden firing of the Coach Gruden. The team rallied around each other just like when there is a key injury to a star player and played a good game. I used the same theory earlier this year in College when USC fired their coach and went with them the week of the firing and USC responded with a 45-14 WIN. Guess what happened the next week USC lost 45-27 to Oregon St. I expect the Raiders to do the same this week. Last week they had the luxury of playing a team they see twice a year so it made it easier to prepare a game plan. Now they have to face a Philadelphia team that they don’t see often and will the team have that same intensity level that they had last week. To be honest last weeks victory was aided by the fact that the Raiders were +4 in TO’s. Philadelphia also has the advantage of 3 extra days to prepare against a team with an interim HC who got his 1st win as an NFL HC. Jalen Hurts was horrible last week against Tampa and Philly was still in the game only losing by 6. The Raiders defense allowed over 400 yards last week and that included Denver giving the ball away 4 times. PHILADELPHIA 27-24

  At first glance you look at this total of 47.5 and say Arizona can score that themselves and you would be right. I’m not a big fan of Coach Kingsbury but he is smart enough to know this is a game that you want a quick in and out type of game. Shorten the game not to get anyone injured and try to be as fresh as possible for the big game on deck. That’s right Arizona plays on Thursday Night Football against Green Bay in what right now could go a long way in determining Home Field advantage. We have a Houston team that has been held to Under 10 points in 3 of their last 4 games. This will also be Houston’s 3rd road game in 4 weeks. Kyler Murray is having MVP like numbers so far and he means everything to this team so once they establish control of this game expect to see a lot of running plays from the Cardinals as not to expose Murray to take unnecessary hits. PROJECTED TOTAL 42 or fewer points.
