I like the Vegas Golden Knights to beat the Colorado Avalanche in this game on Tuesday. The Golden Knight have lost 4 games in a row and are in a huge slump lately. Their only win coming against the Kraken but they even almost slipped up in that one too. This team has too much talent on their side and they have been a great team ever since entering the league. I think with all the talent they have they are bound to turn things around and get a win soon. I think they will get that win here. The Avalanche have not had a great start to their season either winning 2/5 games this year. They ended their losing streak of 3 games with a win over the Lightning but had to get it in a shootout after letting a 3-1 lead go in the 3rd period. The Avs are coming back from a 3 game road trip and this is their 1st game back in Colorado since then. Usually the 1st game back from a road trip is a bit of a letdown spot. The Golden Knights just played 3 games in a row at home and didn't get a single point from any of those games. I think they are going to be hungry for some points here so I like Vegas to win this game.

It's definitely taking some time for the Los Angeles Lakers to gel with Russell Westbrook in the fold. They are 1-2 SU & 0-3 ATS despite playing all three games as home thus far. And they are missing depth with Ariza, Horton-Tucker, Nunn and Ellington all out.
The San Antonio Spurs are also 1-2 SU but 2-1 ATS. They beat the Magic by 26 before losing competitive games against the Nuggets by 6 on the road and the Bucks by 10 at home. I think they'll give the Lakers a run for their money at home tonight, and I like the value we are getting with them as 3.5-point underdogs.
The Lakers are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as favorites. Los Angeles is 7-18-1 ATS in its last 26 games overall. The Spurs are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a losing record. San Antonio is 4-0 ATS in its last four games playing on two days' rest. Bet the Spurs Tuesday.

I just think the line has dropped to the point that there's some decent value with the Lakers at -2.5. This thing opened at 5 and has been bet down. I think a lot of that is the lack of trust people have in this Lakers team after their 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS start to the season.
I will admit that it didn't look very good for LA in the first two games, but to me it felt like they found a little something in Sunday's 121-118 win over the Grizzlies. Westbrook has been a much bigger factor in the offense and if it wasn't for Ja Morant going off for 40, that game would have been a blowout.
I just don't think the Spurs have a guy like Morant that can shoulder the offense. Keldon Johnson is their best scorer at 20.7 ppg. Every point Johnson has scored has come on a 2-pt shot or free throw. I just wonder how easy it's going to be for Johnson facing that defensive front of the Lakers. He'll likely see defensive specialist Kent Bazemore on him and they got one of the best rim protectors in AD. Give me the Lakers -2.5!

This is a play on the SEATTLE KRAKEN for our Tuesday Free Play. The expansion Kraken opened the season 1-1-1-0 but have since lost three straight games while getting outscored 14-5 in the process. They opened with five straight road games so the schedule has not been in their favor and Seattle will be playing its second straight home game following a 4-2 loss to Vancouver on Saturday and has a great chance to pick up its first home win in franchise history. The offense has been pretty lackluster as the Kraken are averaging just 2.17 gpg but that is actually better than seven other teams in the league including the opponent for tonight. The power play has been below average but the penalty kill has been great as they are ranked No. 9 in the league at 85.7 percent, allowing just two goals in 14 opportunities. Montreal opened the season 0-5 before notching its first win of the season, a 6-1 victory over Detroit. The Canadiens managed only four goals in its first five games before exploding against the Red Wings. Still, their 1.67 gpg are dead last in the NHL while their shooting percentage is third worst. On the other side, the penalty kill has been awful as they are at 57.14 percent, allowing nine goals in 21 opportunities. Montreal has allowed at least one power play goal in every game this season. The Canadiens are 0-4 in their last 4 games as an underdog. Here, we play on home teams in the first half of the season when the money line is -100 to -150 after having lost four of their last five games, in a game involving two teams with winning percentages of .300 or worse. Tuesday NHL Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Montreal and Seattle at 10:05 pm et on Tuesday.
After being held to a goal or less in five straight games to open the season, the Canadiens exploded for six in a rout of the Red Wings on Saturday night. That performance sets us up well for a lower-scoring result on Tuesday, however. Note that the 'under' has gone 8-1 with the Canadiens playing on the road after posting a home win in which they scored four or more goals over the last season-plus, resulting in an average total of only 4.7 goals. In fact, the 'under' is 15-4 with the Habs heading out on the road following a home win of any kind over that stretch, with an average total of just 4.6 goals. The Kraken, meanwhile, have cooled off considerably following a hot start to the season. They scored seven goals in their first two games but have managed only six goals combined in their last four contests. If they want to snap their four-game losing streak and notch their first-ever home win, they'll need to tighten things up defensively after giving up a whopping 14 goals in their last three games. I expect them to do just that on Tuesday night. Take the under.

The situation is much more difficult for the Nuggets. They will be playing for a second consecutive day after losing at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers by 12 as 9.5-point favorites last night. They will have a hard time matching the energy of the Jazz given the situation. The Nuggets are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. Denver is 1-7 ATS in its last eight games against a team that wins more than 60% of their games. Utah is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 games as a favorite. The Jazz are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home meetings with the Nuggets. Give me the Jazz.
