1st race – (1) Money Mike disappointed in his first start at Santa Anita, but is training sharply for his comeback race with a new trainer. (6) Engrave may wake up while switching back to dirt. (3) Injunction was second last time and merits respect here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6.

3rd race – (4) Guana Cay is training sharply for her first start since June and looks best here. (8) Holdontoyourtiara seems to fit in nicely with this bunch. (2) Flashy Biz should handle dirt better after flopping on turf. (9) Bertrada is worth a look off the claim by Foley. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-9.

5th race – (3) Flat Awesome Jenny has notched four straight wins and can make it five here. (1) Sterling Miss didn’t fire against tougher company but can wake up here.
