HICLASS ECSTASY - Is difficult not to examine based on speed figs which have been strong - 62 avg - of late. Is hard not to examine given the company run in lately. CAROLINAS GIRL - Should go to the lead and could never look back. Has been racing soundly in races of this distance, going 3 for 11 under similar conditions.

Could wire the field. YOUR PAL - Crowell brings her right back. I propose you stay with this strong mare. Jockey hops up on after getting to know the thoroughbred by riding in the last race. That's always a good to see. This animal absolutely loves this oval. All her wins have been here at Parx Racing. I think this mare is ready to run a good one. She's had enough outings since the vacation and should be fit.

Finished sixth in her most recent race with a quite unimpressive speed rating. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field. COTTON CANDY CUTIE - You believe this horse is going to be first just because she's always close. Just doesn't finish first often. KNOCK OUT KID - This mare finished outside the top 3 on August 3rd and wasn't close to winning last time out either. Don't feel this vulnerable equine will do much running today. That last rating was disappointing when compared with today's class figure.

Is worth considering and may be a bet - strong speed figures (50 average) at today's distance and surface as of late. With one of the top jockeys in terms of returns at the window, don't count this gelding out. AEROBALLISTIC - This racer enters today's competition with second time Lasix. This colt has some longshot angles I like to take a chance on.

MOMZA - Faced tougher in the last race at Charles Town. Based on class figures, this is a weaker field, so I will put this animal on my list of probable winners in this race. This horse wins a lot of money per race around the track. I believe he will boost the lifetime total right here. Went a route in a Maiden Special race at Charles Town in the last race from an outside post. Moving to the inside at a similar distance should help this gelding. HAPPY CHARLIE - Quite frequently, I play a maiden that finished in the place spot easily ahead of the show horse in his last effort. After the contest aboard this equine on October 16th, the rider is going to 'know' the gelding much better. Just check out his latest speed rating, 71. That one looks good in this group. ARE YOU HAPPY - This jockey and handler's horses have been producing a lucrative ROI. This racer coming off a sharp effort in the last 30 days is a solid contender in my opinion. That last race at 4 1/2 furlongs was too short. He'll love the added distance today. RAGING WHIRLWIND - Got to appreciate a good work horse. This colt's last work was second fastest of the day for the distance. In the last race, finished fifth on a sloppy track at Charles Town. Have to do better in this field.

7 p.m. ET: Northern Illinois at Kent State

Both of these MAC rivals are riding hot streaks. Northern Illinois (6-2 SU, 5-2-1 ATS) has won five straight games, most recently beating Central Michigan 39-38 as 6-point road dogs. Meanwhile, Kent State (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS) has won three of their last four games, including a 34-27 win over Ohio last week, covering as 5-point road favorites. This line opened with Kent State listed as a 5-point home favorite. Respected money has come down on the dog, dropping Northern Illinois from 5 to 3.5. Short road dogs 4 or less are roughly 54% ATS the past decade. We could also be looking at a high scoring game in this one. The total opened at 67 and has been bet up to 68. The weather forecast calls for low 40s, clear skies and little to no wind.

7 p.m. ET: Central Michigan at Western Michigan

The second MACtion matchup features two teams looking to rebound from tough losses. Central Michigan (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS) just fell to Northern Illinois 39-38, losing outright as 6-point home favorites. On the other hand, Western Michigan (5-3 SU, 4-3-1 ATS) just got rolled by Toledo 34-15, losing outright as 1.5-point road favorites. This line opened with Western Michigan listed as a 10-point home favorite. This line has remained frozen off the opener but at times has briefly dipped to 9.5. This signals some slight liability on Central Michigan plus the points. Respected money has also hit this over, driving the total up from 63 to 66.5. Both of these teams are averaging roughly 29 PPG on offense and giving up roughly 28 PPG on defense.
