The Devils have been one of the early-season surprises in the NHL. But based on the way their games have broken down, it's starting to look like New Jersey is every bit as good as their winning record to date might indicate. The Devils have won the analytics in all but one of their seven games to date. Granted, they've been enjoying life at home as the team has played only one road game to date, but that was a win at Pittsburgh. Anaheim has managed nine points in its ten games but had lost six straight before finally beating a weary Canadiens team on Sunday.
My power ratings have this game priced considerably higher than where it is presently. Part of the reason for that is the lesser home-ice edge for the Ducks than most teams enjoy. No problem laying a small price here with the Devils as this line projects around -140. Solid value on the New Jersey Devils tonight.
