Houston has some good young pieces but the sum of the whole in not good and not very competitive. They say you are what your record is and the Rockets are 1-12, 0-7 on the road. Houston's point differential is -9.2 and two of their last three road losses are by 13+ points. The Grizz have lost three straight including an inexplicable loss at New Orleans in it's last. The Grizzlies are low end playoff team in the ultra competitive West and get back on track here.

I gave out a OKC winner the other day getting 4.5 vs the Kings and they won outright. I think here is another good number to back the Thunder. We all know they are bad but in the NBA you get stretches with the bad teams that they cover a ton. The Thunder have covered 5 of their last 6. The Heat off a big road win over the Jazz I think this is a let down spot here.

San Francisco is ranked 9th in overall DVOA (offense is 6th, defense is 16th) despite having only 3 wins on the season. The Rams are 3rd (offense is 2nd, defense is 4th). LA hasn't been the dominant force the past 3 weeks. They've always been able to throw the ball with the exception of last week, but their defense has only REALLY dominated 2 games this season. One against the Colts in Week 2, and the other against the Giants in Week 6. They allowed teams to pass on them mostly, but their run D that was once a brick wall has let up a bit.
Last game against the Cardinals, the 49ers looked way better than what the final score indicated. They didn't allow anything on the ground, which is usual, but they showed us one of their best passing games of the season. That followed up from last week against the Bears which was actually their best game. So coming off two solid games, one against a top team in the league, they're in good form despite having lost last game.
At home, our models have the 49ers projected at +1 on average, so getting over a FG offers big value.
