Champions League - Juventus at Chelsea
Quick Synopsis: Group H sides Juventus and Chelsea meet on Match Day 5 and while Juventus have clinched a spot in the knockout stages there's still some work to do for Chelsea albeit they are all but into the KO stage which makes Tuesday's fixture one where the all important top of the group spot is at risk. With top spot comes the advantage of facing a 2nd place side in the first KO round and avoiding some of Europe's top sides. These two met on Match Day 2 in Italy with Juventus winning 1-0 albeit most of the metric numbers were in Chelsea's favor but uncharacteristically played one of their worse games of the season. The venue switch to Stamford Bridge here could make all the difference for this side along with pieces of this Chelsea team returning with Werner now fit to start and Lukaku likely returning but not scheduled to start on Tuesday but made available if needed. Juventus come off an impressive 2-0 win at Lazio on the weekend but have had their struggles away from home and coupled with some injuries that will make Dybala (listed on travelling roster) and Chiellini (not listed on travelling roster) likely unavailable coupled with Bernardeschi and Danilo also unavailable will leave them somewhat short. Chelsea's only defeat at home this year in all competitions came at the hands of Manchester City (1-0 F). The defending Champions will get a Juventus side that likely sets up defensively for this one but an early break through for the home side should set them on the way to 3 points and top spot in Group H.

I love the Sounders here in this spot. Seattle held onto the #1 spot for most of the season before limping into the playoffs, winless in their last six games. But Seattle is getting several key players back healthy as the begin their post season run. Raul Ruidiaz is back training with the team after missing 7 of their last 8 games. The leading scorer for this team was clearly missed down the stretch. Most exciting, is Jordan Morris is back after 10 months removed from ACL surgery and saw action as a sub in each of the last two regular season games for Seattle as he works back his fitness. There is no doubt he will have an expanded role as Seattle looks to make a run in these playoffs.
News on Lodeiro is still unavailable as Seattle keeps his status under wraps so I'm going with the premise he is not ready, and even if he was, unlikely he plays a significant role in this match.
RSL are simply not built for the road. Their success this season (and for much of their franchise history) has been at home playing in altitude. On the road this year they were simply not good. They owned a 5-2-10 record with a -8 goal differential and allowed the 7th most xGA at 1.93 per game leading to a -0.50 xG differential. Although they did win their final two road games of the season to clinch their spot in the playoffs, they had just one win in their previous 11 road matches before that.
Lastly, Seattle has absolutely dominated RSL at home in recent years, winning 12 of the last 13 meetings including four straight. Hard to envision anything but another straight forward Seattle win here especially considering all of their playoff experience.
