I will gladly take my chances with the Spurs as a 8.5-point road dog against the Suns. I think this is the perfect time to sell high on Phoenix. The Suns just had their 18-game winning streak snapped in their last game. That winning streak has helped carry Phoenix through a lot of tough spots during their run. I just think now that they don't have that to play for, they are going to be a little flat for a stretch here.
Not to mention they are still playing without their best player in Devin Booker, who is out with a hamstring injury. Spurs aren't a great team, but they are on a bit of a roll right now. San Antonio has won and covered 4 straight. I just think San Antonio is going to be the more motivated side and we just need them to lose by 8 or less. Give me the Spurs +8.5!

The Penguins, on the road and off a win against the lowly Canucks, have a hot goaltender and an offense that has not played to its potential. The Kraken have been sharp lately and knocked off some big names, but their defense is not good and Grubauer has not performed to expectations. The Penguins' very solid defense has helped to keep the goals against down. Look for the Penguins, against a poor Kraken defense, to take this opportunity to put the puck in the net. Pittsburgh to win.

The Portland Trail Blazers are without two of their best players in Damian Lillard (21.5 PPG, 7.8 APG) and Anfernee Simons (12.0 PPG). It's no wonder they have been struggling mightily of late, and they will continue to struggle tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Blazers are just 1-5 SU & 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall with their only victory coming at home against the lowly Pistons. Their last four losses have come by 28, 31, 22 and 15 points. They haven't even been competitive in their last two games without Lillard in upset home losses to the Spurs and Celtics by a combined 59 points.
It's a good time to 'buy low' on the Clippers, who have gone 1-4 SU in their last five games. But they are much healthier than the Blazers right now and should get the job done. They did beat the Lakers before losing on the 2nd of a back-to-back to the Kings last time out, which was predictable.
Los Angeles is 21-9 ATS in its last 30 games following a loss by 6 points or less. Portland is 0-8 ATS in its last eight games as an underdog. The Clippers are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings. Bet the Clippers Monday.

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut on Monday was with the Portland Trailblazers plus the points versus the Los Angeles Clippers. Portland (11-13) got upset for the second straight game on Saturday in a 145-117 loss at home to Boston as a 1-point favorite. The Trailblazers have covered the point spread in 5 of their last 7 games after two straight upset losses. Portland stays at home where they are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games. Los Angeles (12-12) has lost four of their last five games after their 104-99 loss at Sacramento as a 2-point favorite on Saturday. The Clippers have failed to cover the point spread in 4 of their last 5 games after a point spread loss. Los Angeles has also failed to cover the point spread in 5 straight games as a favorite.
