College Football(Bob Balfe) 3:00 PM EST Rotation #324 San Diego State -6 over Utah State It’s amazing that the Aggies are in this position after winning just 1 game last year. Blake Anderson has done a great job, but when it comes time to win hardware I am going to roll with the team who is more physical in the trenches and who has a more experienced coaching staff. San Diego State loves to take the air out of the ball and controls the clock. Utah State has a great QB in Logan Bonner and a lot of weapons to throw to, but it will get frustrating if the Aztecs control the clock. Utah State has a really bad red zone defense that they will need to address in the offseason. There might indeed be championships in the Aggies future, but I don’t think they are physically talented enough in the trenches to beat a ranked team in such an important game on the road. Take San Diego State.
College Football 8:00 PM EST Rotation #319-320 Wake Forest/Pitt Over 71 It’s the first time Clemson has not been in this game in ages. Pitt has a nascar like offense and so does Wake Forest. This game tonight is all about the QB’s. Kenny Pickett and Sam Hartman have total control over their offenses and have free range to do make plays. Nothing holds either of these two offensives back and they should move up and down the field for 4 full quarters. Wake Forest had a really bad defense this year so Pitt and their balanced attack should have no problem moving the ball. The Panthers defense is a little bit more respectable, but they have their flaws that Wake can pick apart with Hartman’s arm. I think this will be a super high scoring game and the winner will be determined by fluke plays. Take the Over.
College Football 3:00 PM EST Rotation #324 Iowa +11.5 over Michigan Michigan has been the best team in the country against the spread this year and they just beat Ohio State. The nation is backing them today, but can they refocus after a super bowl like win last week? That’s an honest question because getting over the Ohio State hump was emotionally draining and now they have to line up against a team that doesn’t beat themselves, plays solid defense and is well coached. I am not so sure Michigan should be double digit favorites and think this line is set a bit high because of what we last saw and because of how much money they have made the public this year. Michigan has looked vulnerable at times on the road this year. This should be a low scoring tight defensive game. Take Iowa.
