Valparaiso added transfer Kobe King to their lineup two games ago and he's been very impressive on the offensive end of the floor scoring 19 and 17 points in the two contests. They face an Eastern Michigan team that's by far the fastest paced team they have faced all year ranking 41st in team adjusted tempo. Valpo has only went up against 2 of 9 opponents in D-1 games this season that rank above average in possessions per game this season and each of their last 6 foes are teams ranked 200th or worse. The Eagles have been without their best offensive player the lightning quick Noah Farrakhan twice this season but he will be playing in this one and he leads EMU averaging 17 points per game this season. With Farrakhan on the court the Eagles average 7 points more per game than in the games he's missed.

Denver has a 1st year head coach and his team is coming off their best outing of the year last game. The Pioneers made some changes to their starting lineup and that seems to have really helped. It's usually around this time of the season where 1st year head coaches start to figure out more about their team and the team also starts to get what they are being taught. I think we are starting to see signs of that here with this Denver team. The Pioneers also will be playing this game at home in the high altitude of Denver likely giving them a nice home court edge as well.

Take Oklahoma City/Memphis GAME TOTAL UNDER as my top NBA pick for Monday night. This pick falls into one of my top NBA systems and I expect a much lower scoring game here than when these teams last met this season. You can also expect Oklahoma City to step up defensively in this game after allowing Memphis to put up over 150 points against them the last time these two teams met. Oklahoma City has averaged just 96.5 points per game on the road this season shooting just 39.6% as a team. Oklahoma City has also shot just 29.6% as a team from the on the arc on the road this season and Memphis has held opponents to just 100 points per game over their last five games with opponents shooting just 43.7% against them. The over/under is 1-3 in Oklahoma City is last 4 games overall and I expect them to struggle offensively against Memphis again here tonight after putting up to 79 points against them the last time these two teams met.
